I don't even remember where I left off in FFXII. It came out at a bad time last year; pretty close to the Wii launch. I haven't had a burning desire to go back and finish it.

I loved FF12 for the story, the characters and the battle system. I didn't mind the gambit system or the traveling because I found ways to deal with each (you can buy teleport stones on the airships, and I used gambits when I needed to). I loved hunting for marks and all the extra sidequests.

The one thing I didn't like was the horizontal invert. What was up with that??? It screwed me up while I was playing my other games.

I got pretty far... like to a forest and this grass dragon kicks my rear cuz i messed up the license sytem uber bad... and i havnt played since... will try again someday, but im back to playin Dark Cloud 1 again!

Dark Cloud > Final Fantasy XII.

well that dragon is really hard, but just a little grinding solves the problem, it's impossible to mess up the license board.

oh i forgot about the quickenings, they are awesome, at the begining it looks like they are the only way to defeat a boss but later in the game you realize they are just the finishing touch

and the espers, are really useful in boss battles too (or with annoying flying enemies)

the only problem is the great cost of MP but the damage they make is worth every point

well i used a little trick and i hope it can help you,

first i select my kamikase team, this team will sacrifice all their MP to use quickenings, then fight with them as much as you can

then the secondary team will get on the fight, just fight with the monster use an esper if you want but leave at least one quickening to the finishing touch

remember the only problem with his attack is confuse , use smelling salts, oh and belias can kill those stupid guardians.

emmmm what else well use someone for cure the bad status with white magic and i recomend berserk on at least on character

I used a lot of quickenings and belias, then saved the fighting for last. I think i got the biggest quickening chain ive gotten on that game in that battle. I think it was catyclysim. :D

i got my first ark blast :lol, but not even that was enough to kill him :lol

hard boss battles that's a really important thing on a final fantasy

I thought some of the characters of FFXII were worth while.
I dug Balthier and Fran, even though I rarely used them.

But I agree that sometimes the Gambit system was just too much.
I, too, forgot about the accessories and went for the magic and weapons almost ALL the time.
Thats probably why I was so awful ::)

i got 80 hours on this game :o. and i still have a lot of hunts to do, 2 espers to catch and some secret sidequest to finish (omega mark for example),
anyone has tips for zodiark, ultima or the omega mark?

Bought it today. $19 at Target. They had crap for selection, and had only two of these left. Maybe if I play this I will get back in the mood to play FFX and actually get somewhere.

well i think this game has no replay value whatsoever...like almost every other RPG in the world

except Pokemon

and tales of symhphonia....the thing is that this game gives no reason to play it again after you get everything.
