The ideal pet...

What would your ideal pet be? What pets do u currently have? Which do u feel u are best at caring for? What kinds do u intend to get when u have the opportunity?

I have had pet rabbits most of my life. Once I had like twenty. lol. I feel like rabbits resemble my personality closest and are super cute and quiet and easy to care for. I currently still have a rabbit, and he is housebroken and likes getting petted and watching tv and doing lil leaps and twists in the air. The other day he pulled all my ramen out of a low cupboard with his mouth and tossed it on the kitchen floor to make himself a lil den in the cupboard lol.

If I get a dog eventually it would prolly be a beagle, cuz I used to always adopt stray dogs as a kid and for a couple days I took care of a beagle and he was so nice and sweet.

I also think hedgehogs are super cute, especially baby ones, but I prolly would not buy one cuz they are not very snuggly :)

I've always had Labrador Retrievers.A lot of guys around here breed hunting dogs, they usually just give the females away.
My last one was so pampered lol

You know what else are super cute? Baby porcupines. But ugh yea, not so good to keep around once they grow up haha. My ideal pet is a Brittany. They are the friendliest breed of dog I have ever met. They are perfect size, too. I also like the fact that I am not allergic to them, because I am allergic to most dogs.

Oh I bet baby porcupines would look adorable! Like hedgehogs kinda. Ohm u know another animal I was seriously considering getting as a pet in the past? A sugar glider! They look fun and adorable.

Here is the man of our house. :lol

His name is Dinker or "The Dink"

Here he is playing with his favorite toy, Santa Clause. He carries him all over the house.
He paces the floor and growls whenever someone knocks on the door or a car pulls into the driveway. ::D

We seem to have cats as our only pets at this time in our life. In the early years it could be anything from a Hamster to a dog.

I have two aquariums, two birds that I am fostering, and five ratties. Unfortunately, one rattie is sick, one died recently, and I had a fish die. They were all well over two years old; that is about as long as some fish and most rats live.

Rydia currently has a respiratory problem. The x-ray was unclear whether it is an infection or cancer.

My girlfriend and I adopted Rigel and Cecil when they were still very young. They passed away March and September of this year respectively. :(

@ Grindspine. One of my sisters and her husband have rats too. It looks like u guys really enjoy animals. I have never had rats, but I have had a few hamsters, mostly dwarf ones. My husband really wants ferrets for a long time now, but we are waiting to get them.

@mastermario that sounds like a good ideal dog. When I was younger I wanted to dobermans lol. I had this idea that I would live on a houseboat by myself and float from town to town and that I would live on the boat with two big dobermans. But that since has changed to me living in a house with a bunny instead. haha. The frisbess thing made me think of a scene from the beginning of a movie called Flight of the Navigator? Have u ever seen that movie?

@ Retro Junkie. Does he get extra Christmas presents for liking Santa so much,. That must be kinda funny to see him dragging Santa everywhere. He thought he was a big mouse and caught him when he ame down the chimney last year lol. He looks really relaxed all sprawled out like that.

When he was younger you could look from standing in the kitchen through the dining room and see Santa in the middle of the living room floor. Suddenly The Dink would come out of no where flying through the air and pounce on Santa. Then they would go rolling around in the floor fighting and bitting. It was LOL just to watch.

When he picks up Santa, he growls and howls as he carries him to another part of the house. I have no idea what is going through his head.

But I do know one thing, NO ONE TOUCHES SANTA! NO ONE MESSES WITH SANTA! It is his Santa.

Haha that's cool. Does he nip at all if u try to put him in his cage or is he good about it? Can u wrestle with him with ur hand and have him use his paws and mouth like a dog to playfully wrestle back again?

He is uncaged.
A male cat is very aggressive and territorial in nature. To use your hand in play wrestle with him would cause you to loose a hand, arm, or leg. I have put a light blanket around my hand and arm and did play with him in this manner. He loves it but I consider it dangerous. :lol If i see him sitting next to me and his tale starts to swish back and forth, with those ears back combined with giving me that certain evil eye, I know to grab the blanket.

Rydia passed away today. Her lungs couldn't handle enough oxygen to keep her here anymore.
