The line between debate and confrontation

THis sounded like a nice topic.

I know of another site where tons of threads are ruined cuz of like 3 guys (who I assume are teenage males) are like constantly bashing fighting etc. I have not run across much of that on this site yet, but I am glad to see that if it was going on, that people are making an effort to be more freindly.

Nothing that transpires here can really be termed "debate." :lol

We argue, plain and simple. But it's all in good fun. Most people here are respectful, and while opinions are thrown around a lot disagreements *usually* do not carry over into multiple threads, which in my opinion is the most important thing. To disagree with someone's opinion on one subject is perfectly fine, but to disagree with one person because of their particular views on one subject is completely wrong.

Heated arguements are not against the rules, and can be quite interesting, but if they start to carry over into other threads... that's when problems start to arise. If you can draw the line there, you can avoid most conflicts.

Bumped for current relevance.

Hey, one of my topics is meaningful. :lol

I must have missed the current feud I'm guessing? Oh well, hopefully it's passed. I don't need to know anymore.
