Re: E3 2009: The Lineup of developers so far...

Its nice to see Activision becoming a team player again by actually attending E3 this year. I wonder what it took to smooth things over between them and the ESA.

Re: The Offical E3 2009 Thread

I really hope they don't let me down on my birthday. I'm hoping for good things from them this year, since they barely have anything this year as it is.

What!!! Its just a few days before I am even in the area Imm gonna miss so many blog meetups :(

Regardless, I didnt know it was as early as JUNE!!!!

Re: The Offical E3 2009 Thread

Traditionally is was held in May. They bumped it back to June/July to better accommodate game development cycles or some jazz. June is earlier than last year I guess, but its in the ballpark of when I expected it to be.

the show takes the stage at LA's Greek Theater on June 4. Serving as E3's closing ceremony, the concert will include selections from such games as Chrono Trigger, Mega Man and Final Fantasy, as well as possible attendance by some "very special guests." Tickets are available through pre-sale for between $25 and $70. And for those unwilling to make the trek to E3, or for avid listeners with an unhealthy appetite for video game tuneage, a second performance alongside July's Comic Con in San Diego is also planned, promising "different material and different special guests."

Dinner, Theater, and Games? I love it!

Rumor: Sony to reveal motion sensing controller for PS3? It's a PSWii!! :lol

Sony is prepared to debut a new motion sensing controller for the PlayStation 3 at this year's E3, according to a report from Variety. The blog cites "several sources" intimate with the project, including ones who have seen the device for themselves. The sources also claim that the controller they saw is very similar to the patent uncovered in 2007, using LEDs to track movement more accurately than the Wii remote. The report recalls another rumor from last month that Sony is looking for developer support for the device.

Sony has given its standard response, stating that it doesn't comment on "rumor or speculation." Two years seems like a long time to wait, so it would have been easy to assume that Sony just scrapped the idea. But if the motion sensing is more accurate than the Wii, and they're giving developers some time with the controller to make polished titles, the wait could end up paying off.

If they pull that off....I might actually get it.

Re: The Offical E3 2009 Thread

Sadly, Capcom's Dead Rising 2 will not be shown at E3 due to the Swine Flu outbreak in Osaka Japan :(

Capcom's Swine Flu Problems

Edit: Capcom was suppose to reveal 2 secret games at E3, however, Capcom has revealed the first of the two mystery titles to be shown at E3 2009, which is the US version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for Wii. Rumor said the second mystery title maybe the next Devil May Cry game for all platforms including Wii.

That's very odd. As far as I know, this is when developers are usually the busiest.
