The Offical E3 2009 Thread (June 2nd-June 4th, 2009)

CNET should have a liveblog. I dont think they should be blocked from any computer. I think G4, IGN, and Gamespot are the only places to actually watch them live. Does gametrailers do it as well?

I think the best bet would just be to follow live blogs though.

BTW

Activision-Blizzard is taking place right now, live conference call.

Re: Activision-Blizzard Conference Call Notes

Dont forget me :)

Hey Starry, anything related to E3 news, please place in the E3 thread ok? I really appreciate what you're doing, but this entire General Discussion will be flooded the next few days if we don't act together as a team alright? :)

Re: Activision-Blizzard Conference Call Notes

You play Starcraft Mega? Sweet! That game + Diablo III = end of my grades and social life. This is going to make college ROUGH

Re: Activision-Blizzard Conference Call Notes

Well from the description by all the sites, they normally hold a conference call at this time. They dont say if any of this will be at E3 though, such as Blizzard's games wont be at E3. So I didnt know if it was E3 or not

About Tony Hawk, the question just seems to say that they dont have a problem with selling things above 100$, case in point, the Guitar Hero instruments.

Re: Activision-Blizzard Conference Call Notes

I think $120 for the Tony Hawk game is fine, assuming it is fun and all. You get a pretty hefty peripheral.

Okay Cyrsis 2 coming to PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 using the CryEngine 3Tech developed for consoles.

http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6210583/crysis-2-ps3-360-pc-bound

Gamespot said:
This morning, Electronic Arts and German developer Crytek announced the development of Crysis 2 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game will be the first console title that the notoriously PC-centric studio will develop directly for consoles, having let Ubisoft develop the console spin-offs for its groundbreaking 2004 first-person shooter Far Cry. Ubisoft bought the Far Cry IP outright in 2006. No release date was given.

Hello all. Mega asked me to post the news from the Microsoft Press Conference this morning so I am. I'm watching it on G4 and it's scheduled to start in about 5 minutes. Keep your fingers on those F5 keys children, as I'll be posting news throughout the whole thing. It should be good.

As a first note, it was announced yesterday that the conference will start 5 minutes earlier due to a "special announcement". We definitely know this conference will start off with a bang.

That was the opening cinematic from The Beatles: Rock Band. Pretty awesome I must say! The stage seems setup like there is going to be a live demo of The Beatles: Rock Band.

This live demo is quite awesome. It's the Harmonix guys using the 3 Microphone setup, with 2 guitars, and 1 drum set. The recording of the song on the game sounds very faithful to the original.

Alright, now we're getting an official trailer for the game. How's that for awesome?! The game looks very good, the character models don't have Guitar Hero: Aerosmith-syndrome and don't look so creepy. They look very much like their human counterparts. During the trailer, songs that will be in the game are listed, along with short clips played of them. The locales actually change based on the song according to this trailer, which is quite awesome.

The "Abbey Road" album will be available via DLC shortly after launch. "All You Need Is Love" will also be available for DLC EXCLUSIVELY to Xbox 360. Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison take the stage! Now Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are introduced to the stage! Impressive that they were able to be part of E3.

Corporate vice president takes the stage. No charts and sales numbers he says! Also 10 WORLD PREMIERE GAMES! Now the subject at hand is Tony Hawk Ride, with Mr. Hawk himself taking the stage himself. He has the skateboard controller and it telling about it. It is slightly shorter than a real skateboard. Now there is a video with a lot of pro skaters seeing Tony Hawk ride for the first time.
