I was just talking to a friend about the Zelda series, particularly Ocarina of Time and a Link to the Past. One theory he ran past me was about Bongo Bongo (the Shadow Temple boss), and how he could have once been a thief in Kakariko Village, and his hands and head were cut off for being a thief, then the Shadow Temple could be his tomb. Now think about Blind the Thief in Link to the Past. Remember that he had his head and hands float around separately, and he hated light. I also noticed that Bongo Bongo seems very much designed like Blind. Also remember that Blind lived in Kakariko Village.
Another thing he mentioned, which was exactly what I thought before he mentioned this to me, was about the Poe Merchant in the Market in OOT when Link was an adult. Now the first theory he mentioned (the one I agree with) was that he was the guard that was in that same guard house when Link was a kid. He always wanted something extraordinary to happen, and managing ghosts sounds like his cup of tea. The other theory was the kid that hung around the graveyard is the Poe Salesman. I doubt this one because the kid was not in the right location. I believe that kid used to live in the house where the Bazaar ended up moving and he died somehow.
That's all I've got for now, post any theories you might have about the series in general.
