This should be the next PS3 commercial

What's with the retarded kid having the volume up AND leaving the hydraulics on on the couch for?

i dont get it

the ps3 is for playing games and watching movies, which it does great with its current operating system. using a different one is completely meaningless

the PS3 wasnt just set out to be just a console with some added features. Sony gave the option for users to add Linux so that they could have a computer. Saying its meaningless is a meaningless post. If u could spend $600 on a console/blu-ray player/computer or spend over $2000 on them separately which would u choose?

you got a BIG point there....

some of the reasons right there are why I think the PS3 is hardcore. More than just games and movies, but a more selection of choices that the consumer can make. And i think that Blu-ray is the way of the future when it comes to content distro and after that its gunna be digital distro

EDIT: This is only my opinion and I wish not to start anything with anyone about "hardcore" and other nonrelated posts for this topic.

yeah but some people don't see it that way (or they don't have money to spent on the console)

Let's ignore that if you can afford a PS3, you can afford a computer. You don't even need Blu-Ray players now, most stuff is still standard(and cheaper). You're left with a console. A $600 one, no less. The PS3 pretty much has stuff everyone already has. Except for Blu-Ray. Which as I pointed out, isn't a necessity like a computer at this point.

Note: This does not reflect my thoughts on the PS3, I was only countering the post. It might seem like it, but it isn't. Really. I'm not even that sure how, but it is. If anything had a combo like that, I'd say the same exact thing. Maybe with something else instead of PS3, but the same otherwise. I even had a really good reason for how this isn't 'fhq hating on the PS3...again', but I sorta forgot it in writing the post. I'm trying to remember it now, too, writing out more so I can think. Maybe I'll have to just post. Longer note than a post? Whatever. Hmm. I'm out, I got nothing. Reason...reason...reason. Ah well, I realize what the PS3 can do as a gaming machine, and I'm disappointed in it for doing other things as well. What if people don't want all of that stuff? They can't get it without some stuff. But now I'm starting to drag into my PS3 thoughts. As you might be able to tell, I edited this whole part in. It's pretty obvious. And if you don't believe that, not my problem. So you can go cry about me being biased because I don't treat every console equally, or whatever you do.

Yeah, 'cause I like, totally said that. [/valley girl'd]

You totally missed my point. I was saying you already have a computer if you have a PS3. So you don't need another.

Yeah, because if you can spend $600 on a game console, you have a computer. Hell, if you spend $600 on a home entertainment system, you have a computer. Same thing with the PS3, just pointing it out.

You can't have a computer that plays new games for $600.  That's gonna cost you more than $600.
