Greetings everyone,

Why doesn't Microsoft have a handheld like the "PSP" or "DS"?

Because it would cost $300 because they want it to be all about the graphics, and then you'd have to pay for a handheld version of Live on top of your 360 one, and because it's too much competition then, handhelds should be kept to a lower number.

Because they have pushed all their resources in the successful launch of the 360. Trying to launch a handheld, while spending billions just to make another console profitable. Even with all of their resources, it just isn't feasible.

Not to mention, with Blu-Ray winning the format war, Microsoft is out of the profit zone...again.

not to mention how hard is to try and beat nintendo in handhelds... the psp managed to get some good games just recently *looks at FFVIICC and god of war *

Not really.  Toshiba took the brunt of the hit on that one.

Plus, that isn't related to their gaming profits, which are the ones that have trouble staying the the profit zone. The rest of the company is doing great.

If they switch to Blu-Ray in any way for the 360, Sony's gonna charge then a ton.

Microsoft doesn't have that many strong first party titles to propel a handheld system, and the third parties on mostly give handheld support to the DS.
