What arcade shooter have you played and loved?

My favorite was always Truxton 2. I played the first Truxton on FM Towns MArty 2, but then I played the arcade in Denver and man, what a difference! I also enjoy playing Ikaruga on the ST-V.

So, what arcade shooter do you enjoy playing?

I love almost all shooters... but I found something weird in an arcade here.. .it was a strikers 1945 3 cab.. (I think that was the title... now I forget it a bit)... but my friend was stating that it was some rare cabinet.

I played that game for awhile, it was pretty nice!

I haven't got to play anything "real current" shooter wise at the arcade.

I am a fan of the strikers series, as well as the old neo shooters :)

was it something like Time Crisis?? I think I remember the game...
YES!Time Crisis 2! me and my friend used to play that game 24/7 when we were near the movies! thanxs dart!

I liked Stun Runner. There was this arcade that had one and you could sit down on the bike like thing that you were controling on screen. Neat at the time. I also liked Side Arms and Juno First.

I wish I could remember the name of the game, as I always forget. It was a "Helicopter turret" game with N64 blocky type graphics, and every enemy and vehicle would explode in a blaze of glory.

The coolest one I've ever seen though, was an 8 (or was it 16?) player ship defense game. Each player controlled a turret on an apparently large ship, and had to defend it fromw waves and waves of enemies. The graphics looked beutiful, and I've never seen so many players per machine at once.

Man this topic's ancient.

What's funny is that shooter I mentioned, I always froget the name, even though I love it oh so much.

Anyway, the arcade at my mall just got Time Crisis 4. They made it way too difficult for 4 quarters though, making me go back to the considerably easier Time Crisis 3.

What puzzled me was the amount of games they unhooked or dissasembled at the back of the arcade. Some Jurrasic Park game was shoved in a corner, and Crisis Zone had it's gun stand and whatnot removed, leaving just the screen. I'm afraid it might go out of business soon, as there's rarely anyone there when I come in. I remember seeing Silient Scope for sale at around $500, ad another game hitting $900-1000, though I don't remember what game that was.

I'd kill for an arcade cabinent. I went to a party once when I was much younger, and the family had an old chess arcade cabinent there.
