What are the biggest overrated and underrated series/games in your opinion?

yeah, mai, we know the "its an opinion" garbage

its one thing to dis halo, but to say ocarina of time is average is just hilarious

Dissing Halo makes me cry. >_< Master Chief is a little sad but pissed off. I'm going to make him feel better.
 
I agree. LoZ is overrated and I'm not bashing games. Why cant we all stop arguing over which game is better? I'm sick of it so stop ok??
 
A lot of people have never even played oot...it's not as overrated as it should be.

It's a great game. It gets the praise it deserves. OOT is part of the reason anyone got a 64 (me for one, gold cart!)

And halo3 is the reason most people are getting Xbox360s. I know many who are getting. *Internet Show is Going to have great cast! :p*

I got my 360 for gears. I didn't give a damn about Halo 3. I guess it's just a bonus to me. Finish the story. Put it away for good. And yup, Halo 3 is the reason a lot of people got 360's. Even though there are great games out there that are deserving of owning a 360 anyways. Dead Rising. My opinion again, however.
 
If I've never heard of Halo,yes I would get Gears of war but probably wont due to my mom asking how bloody it is....sigh. I do want Gears of War.

It's not really bloody at all...lol...and personally I like it a lot better than halo. I'll never understand parents. I think it would be better to expose a kid to violence through video games than to let them be confused about violence at the age of 15 or so. Besides, games don't breed violence. Proven fact. It's all genetics.

I liked Dead Rising. It was a new idea. Kind of.

It IS this person's OPINION to think that OOT is overrated. I of course disagree with it, and would like to hear a reason as to why this person thinks so, but does it give me any right to laugh at it? No.

I don't know why you and Boom have such a big problem with people having opinions that aren't your own, because that's all they are and it's a persons right to feel however they want about certain games. I'm not gonna stand for childish remarks with no credibility, like the above one quoted.

In conclussion, I would like to see more reasoning as to why people agree/disagree with certain things, rather than "lolz ur wrong" type posts like, again, the one quoted.

He doesn't really know because he doesn't think its average, but someone can think its average. It is an opinion, and whoever said they didn't like OoT isn't wrong, they just have a different opinion on it.

I still can't think of anything major that someone could really complain about either.

It was hyped up wayyy too much, for a start, and it just couldn't live up to it.

The graphics were okay for it's time, but wasn't as good as the N64 could manage.

The gameplay was pretty fun in some places, but it controlled really stiffly, especially Epona. Aiming with the bow/slingshot was dire. It was good in some places, but you had to take the bad with the good.

And the story was pretty dull. Like the rest of the game, some parts were interesting, but it was almost entirely made up of collecting some sort of thing to defeat a stereotypical evil baddie. Yeah, k.

Oh, and the water temple.

The best part about OoT were the well and the shadow temple. I loved those bits to stupid amounts. xD
 
well, she DOES have some reasonable...uh...reasons... :D Good job airhostess. :)
