What Do You Do With The Games You've Beaten?

I can't believe this!! Unless the search bar is corrupt on my end or due to my PC activity,I don't know what's up.

Works fine, just your wording is what throws us every time we try to find one. Luckily X2 has a great memory.

The search feature (I'm guessing) is just gonna compare whatever you type into the search bar with the existing posts on the forum and give you the results that contain the phrase you typed most often. Because of this, you might want to be somewhat general with your searches because unless you get the wording exactly right, the search feature may not turn up what you're looking for. For example, if I just type in "beaten games", I get this thread first followed by another one related to games you've already beaten. This thread is the first one. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, but I get the feeling you're being too specific in your searches and being general might help somewhat.

What term/s did you search? I had typed in "beat games" and got a bunch.

Kaz, try using google as a search engine.
http://www.google.com/

Type in a couple of key words, put a space and type site:egameaddiction.com/forums/

Kaz what you should do is search certain words, not the whole thing, like in this case I'm sure you would have found them if you only wrote beaten

So it's better to be as vague as possible when using the search? :)
There are things called keywords Kaz. If you write like a sentence you're not likely to find a match, if you write a word in regards to the topic you'll most likely find it.

For instance I could have made a topic called
Anyone else ever play Godhand?

and later I could search:
you guys heard of Godhand? it most likely won't find it but if I just put Godhand it will find it.

Well this is certainly embarrassing not knowing this.I know there are keywords,I just figured that if I type in the exact title, that it would be more effective.

Nah it's actually the opposite, well now you know :)

Woah though I posted in this topic already on what I do with 'em :o

If I really like 'em I put them on my shelf for another playthrough another time :)

So far the only 2 games i've kept through out the years are FF7 and Modern Warfare 2, each that have great replay value. I actually look more at replay values now when I purchase games. Games are so expensive nowadays I can't really see my self to spending money on such titles as Silent Hill, or Resident Evil anymore. They are pretty much the same games over and over again. Each more disappointing then the next.

If you want to talk about expensive, does anyone even remember the days before the "Greatest Hits" concept?SNES game prices were appalling!

Mostly keep them, even the ones I don't replay; I have quite a lot stored in the home I grew up in. However, I've started giving stuff away more and more to friends' kids.
