Hello Members!

Before I get started, when I say video games and videos game accessories I mean current retail prices, not used prices. It's quite obvious that the members in this forum are serious gamers. With the prices of so many different products in general, getting more and more expensive,do you feel that video games and video game accessories are being sold at a reasonable price,or do you think they're over-priced?

I think that sometimes the prices can be a little outrageous, especially if the accesory is a mere peice of plastic with a few circuits. But in most cases, a worth-while accessory is worth the cash paid. Just be careful where you buy'em. Don't wanna' be ripped off!

I think prices for games are just fine. As for accessories that's another story. The only games I'll get accessories for are either DDR or Rock Band. And those are some pricey examples as well.

I think there is a ton of potential when it comes to peripherals, and if that potential is realized then it's worth the cost.

However, it is always a really tough sell, even if it is worth it. For example, I never considered buying Guitar Hero because I knew it came with a peripheral. It wasn't until after I played the game that I was convinced the peripheral was an integral part of the experience. Now, I'm more than willing to pay for the peripherals in Rock Band, but it took awhile for me to get to that position.

The prices of modern consoles and games are presently out of my reach financially. I have only been able to break into the DS gaming and then I look for used games. The economical situation has weighted down on me over the last several years and has grown in its effects. The present relief of gasoline prices is helping, but the price of groceries and utilities will have to follow suit before I can even think of any present generation console, or its games. :(

I do not really think game prices are outrageous, I just simply choose to wait and buy used. I very rarely have such a strong need for a game that I am willing to buy it new. I guess for my needs it just makes more sense to buy 3 used games for $50-60 then to buy just one new game.
