What does Wii stand for anyway?

Will Idiots Intentionally buy this?


:p Just kidding, I'm think about pawning some stuff off to get a Wii ONLY for the virtual console. Maybe the new Super Smash Brothers.
 
The explanation is that "WII" is easy to remember an to say no matter what part of the world you're in or what language you speak. At first I hated the name but now I'm loving it. :D
 
I know, I wasn't trying to bash the Wii, I just kinda thought of it when I looked at the topic.


I will most likely grudgingly get the Wii, if only for the new Super Smash Brothers and the BC features. Christmas list FTW!
 
According to Nintendo, Wii does stand for "We" as a universal appeal to the whole world. Personally I thought Nintendo was easy for any culture to recognize. But here it is straight from Nintendo: http://wii.nintendo.com/philosophy.html
 
I like the philosophy behind the name. I mean, XBox, Playstation are unique and interesting, but they are very sighted on games. Nintendo wants to bring people together, and thats cool.

The name itself though lost a lot of reputation in America cuz of our culture. But, no matter, I'll end up buying it and refer to it as the Revolution for the most part.

And I'll be saying "Wii Wii Wii" all the way home.
 
Xbox does not make a reference to games or gaming in its name. If it does, please enlighten me as to how it does. Gamecube, on the other hand...

I don't.Yeah,like someone's going to think of the Nintendo Wii when they say "Mom,we need something to eat",or"Wow,we sucked today".Only someone who is completely addicted and have been saving up,and doing much researches will think of the Wii when they say "we",if even them

And that was the gayest joke or whatever you want to call it,I've ever heard
