What games/hardware are you hoping..

to be announced at the Nintendo conference on October 2nd?
I'm really hoping for a hard drive solution for the Wii.
games I'm hoping for are:
Kid Icarus (Wii)
Legend of Zelda (Wii, DS)
Metroid (Wii, DS)
Star Fox (Wii)
Mario (Wii)
Pikmin 3
Disaster Day of Crisis
Kirby (Wii)
Hows about everyone else?

What type of Zelda...like a side scroller?
I'm kind of hoping for a remake of Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask...but put together...who knows it might work.

We've already established it's holographic storage.
Kid Icarus (Wii)
Doesn't/won't exist.
Legend of Zelda
It wasn't far enough along to show in July, I doubt it will be three months later.
Doesn't exist, it's once again in the post-Super Metroid-esque suspended animation.
Doesn't exist.
See Zelda.
Wasn't mentioned 'til after E3, so it's most likely even less completed than Zelda and Mario.
Disaster Day of Crisis
Coming out soon anyways, it doesn't matter.
Kirby (Wii)
Not doing much currently. :/

Well aren't you the pessimist. :p

That's nothing but a pipe dream. They just patented it, meaning they have plenty of R&D to go on it, and it would be difficult to effectively implement it into Wii's for low price. Even if they do plan to use holographic storage, it would be nice if they made an official announcement regarding this.
Doesn't/won't exist.
Yes, it hasn't been announced officially, which is what they do at these conferences: announce new games.

They could easily make a trailer which would hype people up for it, and make the announcement of a new Zelda more widely known.

Agreed. The Metroid storyline doesn't leave a lot of room for a new game.
Doesn't exist.
See Kid Icarus
See Zelda.
Mario could have a trailer too.

And there is no better time to give info on it than a major Press Conference.

The fact that we don't know a lot about many of these games, or they haven't been announced doesn't make them showing up at the conference some kind of insane pipe dream. This is where new games are always announced.

also Disaster will be released VERY SOON in Japan and the game is already in english voice acting so we might see it sooner than expected =D, and it does matter because it looks good

x3ni92, please don't pay any mind to what fhq says. He's always this way. You'll get used to it. Don't take it personally, though.

Anyway, isn't the fact that it's being held in places named Kirby mean that they are probably just going to promote Kirby? Or did I miss something?

I'd like to see more on the Zelda, though.

Residents of Kirby-named neighborhoods across the country might have noticed legions of Kirby characters floating through their skies today. These Flogos, as they are called, are creations made from environmentally friendly soapy bubbles and lighter-than-air gas. Kirby images floated over:

Norwood Park next to Kirby Middle School in Birmingham, Ala.
The historic Kirby’s Mill in Medford, N.J.
The Kirby Gate shopping center in Memphis, Tenn.
Kirby Park in Kingston, Penn.
“We gave our one-of-a-kind creations a special look for this special Nintendo character by adding coloring to our bubble mixture for the first time ever,” said Greg Stanhope, Director of Sales for Flogos. “Kirby deserved a uniquely creative event.”

What, you think I'm being a 'joykill'? Pfft, no, I want all those games, too, but I doubt they'll be shown. A few might, like Pikmin and Mario, but a lot of his other wishes were never real games in the first place, just IGN rumors.

You just sound so pessimistic all the time is all. You took the time to make a point by point reply, all with negative answers. Would it kill you just to say, in the first place, that "I want all those games, too, but I doubt they'll be shown." It's the same exact point without sounding like a jerk about it.

And he wants those rumors to be announced. Honestly, I don't see that as being so outlandish and impossible. If the games are rumors, it's likely Nintendo was at least considering them at some point, so what's so crazy about two or three actually becoming games?

I hardly see how thinking if they weren't far enough along in July that they will be in October is being a jerk. I mean, really, games takes years to make.

We didn't get Wind Waker information/videos until what, a year before release? Same with TP(well, until it got repeatedly delayed, but the original date was supposedly 04/early 05). If it's a console Zelda, we won't see it out for a few years, meaning we won't see any gameplay or possibly acknowledgment for another year.

Same with Mario. Console Mario won't come out 'til late in the Wii lifespan, if even in it. If it's a handheld one, it has a larger chance of being shown.

Kid Icarus, once again, probably won't happen. It was nothing more than an IGN rumor, and being in Brawl's hardly an excuse to have a game released(Ness, Lucas, Ice Climber, Game and Watch).

Star Fox probably would have been brought up at E3 as being 'worked on' had it been planned. But since it seems(to the outside) that the game hasn't been started, we're once again going back to the 'not far enough to show' thing for it.

Nintendo themselves have stated there is no Metroid game being developed, so I don't see why anyone thinks it's plausible in the near future.

Pikmin 3, I dunno, we don't know how long it's been kept under wraps, but I doubt it will play differently enough for gameplay to really be that important(seeing gameplay's always nice for new games, but I doubt it's one of Nintendo's priorities if it's just the same).

As I said before, Disaster's already coming out real soon, so it doesn't matter if it's shown or not.

And Kirby's currently just sitting around, no information for four years. It has the strongest chance at being shown(up there with Disaster).

So yeah, I stand by what I said because I can actually back it up. Feel free to counter me all you want, I'll be glad if you do manage to give me reasons for some of these.

Every company announces ideas for tons of things that never happen. Patents go up for titles of games that never will exist, ideas are tossed around for new IPs that never come to fruition due to the lack of familiarity(from the market perspective), so they fear it won't sell and be a loss for the company.
so what's so crazy about two or three actually becoming games?
Um...nothing. The crazy part is expecting them to be shown in a month, since back in July, all everyone kept saying was that they wouldn't come out for years.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. This is the post I wanted to see from you in the first place. But you have this habit of posting one word/sentence replies and they come off as unfriendly and/or rude, which may be fine for people familiar with you, but this guy is new, and you might notice that he hasn't posted a reply in this topic. Am I blaming it all on you? No, there's no way to know what circumstances keep him from posting. But your initial way of replying certainly isn't very encouraging for someone trying to start a conversation.
