Off the top of my head I have Cotton for my Neo Geo Pocket and Gunbird for the DC. :D Might have a couple of others that are slipping my mind at this time.
 
I've only got a bunch of PC ones. Mostly old, but their some of the classics are always good!

Future Soldier (my own creation :) ) , Half Light, 1945, Alian, Alian 2, AVP, AVP 2, Alian resurrection, Doom, Doom2, Quake. Hmm. There more but I can't remeber them all.
 
I think the shooters referred to here are sidescrolling and upscrolling type shooters not first person shooters.
 
Yes and no. If you look at Shawn Carr2o's list you'll see that there aren't really any first person shooters on there. Side scrolling shooters are a way different type of game than first person shooters.
 
Those would be the ones. I believe those are the types that our original poster was referring to and they came in two variations that I'm aware of, side-scrolling and overhead.
 
You have more shooters than I have games. :lol

BTW, wouldn't they technically be called either 2d shooters or sidescrolling shooters? Is there any genre that is just referred to as "shooter?"
