What was the first anime you ever saw?

Ninja Scroll. It was awesome. It definitely left an impression on me. I think it was the reason why I got into anime. It was just so different from anything else I'd seen at the time.
 
Akira. it was on the sci-fi channel at my grandparents house one time when i was over there. i started watching like halfway through and i couldn't take my eyes off the screen. i didn't even know what it ws called, but it was unlike anything i had ever saw. years later i went and hunted around for like a year and a half for it until i figured out what it was called. it is still one of my favorite movies and manga of all time.
 
if i remember correctly it was saber marionette J... wich is also one of my favorite animes (i just rememberd XD)
