Wii Manufacturing Costs Down By 45% Say WHAT?! O.o

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
The cost to Nintendo to actually make the things has gone down. And if Credit Suisse analyst Koya Tabata is to be believed, it's gone down by around 45%.

Meaning that, if Tabata's numbers/sources are to be believed, it costs nearly half the price in 2009 that it did in 2006 to manufacture a Wii. Which, yes, nearly doubles the profits they make on every console sold (as shipping costs, etc remain the same). So even with a topsy-turvy Yen and declining sales in Japan, don't cry for Nintendo. They're still doing OK.

Okay, so no price cut, yet it never really needed it. Yet, able to cut the manufacturing cost by 45%? Kudos Nintendo!

Now if many more companies could follow suit, maybe we could start to leech away from recession a bit?

Wow, Nintendo is now officially richer than God, Bill Gates, and that Texan from the Simpsons combined. Maybe they could spread some of the wealth by giving us a price cut? XD

YEE HAW!!

Darn, they won't do another N64 again and lead the technology with that wealthiness. It'll be watered down low-end hardware. Sony don't own stake in the Cell Broadband Engine anymore.

Have the Broadway co-CPU and CBE CPU in the Wii 2 OR add 2 CBE to Wii 2 and emulate Wii. Whichever is cheaper.
