Wii's Online Service

They wouldn't have to if Nintendo had one large central network, like Sony or Microsoft.
Because you'd love having the third party games forced to have Friend Codes, too?

Again, Nintendo's fault. We shouldn't have friend codes to begin with.
What's so bad about them? Write 'em down, save them in your cell's notepad, it's not that hard to keep yours with you.

It's not that they're bad. They're annoying. Every time I do anything online via the Wii, I feel like Nintendo's babysitting me.

Dude, you honestly can't argue the fact that a single name, like a Gamertag, is far superior to friend codes.

That's why I'm...not. :/ Gamertag's are way easier, but Friend Codes ain't remotely bad.

I don't see a problem with Friend Codes. At least they can't change like a Gamertag. People on my list always change their names and I have to send them a message to see who they are...

Ah, good point. Yeah, that's true. But at least it does cost points to change a GamerTag, or it would be even worse.
