Will The DS Copycat The Gameboy In This Aspect?

If memory serves,(I don't know much about Handhelds...at all)my brother told me a long time ago that you could play Gameboy games on your TV with some sort of adapter.
I'm curious to know if you think they will do the same thing with the DS?

My guess is no.You?

God Bless,
Kaz

I doubt that DS will have a TV adaptor. For one, a TV only has one screen. Very few TVs also have touch screen functions.

The DS is too unique to be adapted to TV in those aspects. That isn't to say that certain games would translate well to a single screen format, but the DS library as a whole would not.

well you could easily make it so that you can project the screen image onto the tv and stuff

and use the ds as your controller. or wii since they connect correct?

that would be cool to play like...Mario and luigi for ds on the wii.

Yea, and technically, you can already play DS games on a big screen. However I do not support that because it's illegal and immoral. And don't pm me about it 'cause I'll tell you exactly what I said here :)

Immoral? How so?

The first part isn't necessarily the problem. The big problem, as you pointed out already, is the lack of touch-screen capability. Even if I were to find a TV capable of touch screen, would I draw my stylus around the giant thing? No. I'll feel stupid doing it. It's a case of the innovation holding back a "classic formula"; that is, small-game-on-big-screen, such as the Game Boy Player.

What x2 is referring to is most probably emulation. Regardless of my personal opinion on the issue, discussion of ROMs and the emulators which people use to play these ROMs is not permitted on these forums. x2's got it right by not posting further about it; I'm just clarifying for anyone in the future who were to see this topic.

Well you could still use the wii to some degree but instead of it being touch, it would be the motion using it as some sort of touch..type thing without it be a touch screen

To some extent... still, what would you do with games that require the mic? Requiring WiiSpeak as well is kind of ridiculous...

Let me clarify.

If one were able to view DS screens using a DS linked to a Wii (which is what I thought he was talking about) were possible, what would be immoral about that?

Obviously emulations are illegal, so I was not even considering those.

Wait... you quoted Mariorulezman with that post. He never said the word "immoral", though; x2 did, and x2 was referring to emulators... am I just confused?
