Winter Storm Warning

Same with mine! On a midterm day no less. The only problem is I've gotta get rid of all the snow on my driveway, which, unfortunately is on a 70 degree incline. >:(
 
No school today. On the day we get new classes too. XD

Yay for being sick though, don't need to shovel. Movies, Anime, and gaming all day. I can finally catch up on some Gurren Lagann and Gundam 00.
 
Yeah, same here. All the schools and colleges got a late start or have been closed down due to freezing rain! Ice everywhere yay!
 
I was out shoveling my driveway, but the snowblower kept dying on me because the snow was so damned heavy and slushy. I ended up clearing maybe a quarter of it, and shoveling is almost impossible because of how heavy this crap is. >_>

Wow, school never gets closed around here...  Only time school gets closed around here is for wind chill advisories (basically if the wind chill is like -30 or so). I gotta go out and shovel the driveway now.
 
I'm not in school right now, but haven't been to work the past two days because of the roads being completely iced over and the random power outages everywhere.

Pretty much everything is closed here.
 
i would rather go to school than have a snow day..... seriously we were no freezing temperatures only for 2 days in the mornings and i thought i was going to die frozen
 
We hit -50 a couple days last week, before windchill, meaning any exposed skin while outside was frostbitten in about a minute. We've also had more snow this year than in about a decade. We had a blizzard for a day or two during the Christmas break that dumped several feet of snow on us. I went to brush off my car, and by the time the snow from the top and front of it had been brushed to the side, there was snow piled up above the door handles. And no, nothing was closed. :lol

You gotta be slightly crazy to live here sometimes. We hit mid +40's in the summer (about 110F) and below -40's in the winter, giving us an annual degree difference of about 80 degrees C, or 150 degrees F. Keeps things interesting I supppose. :D
 
oh man missouri weather is weird

we had the snowstorm and its seems three days from this moment im typing it we are going to flood becasue the temps should hit 40s

the meramac hates us so...
 
It's starting to look sick outside with all the snow. They closed afternoon classes at my college tonight. (Didn't effect me cause my classes r in the morning) I just hope they close school tomorrow
 
The warm and cold rollercoaster weather out here has been weird. Last week it snowed. Dropped 6 inches. Big deal here because it's freaking North Carolina. It was fun for about two hours. My kids played in it, and then each got sick. My youngest is actually in the hospital right now because he was lucky enough to catch RSV instead of the typical cold.

I can't wait for Spring.

2 Day school closing! ITs a weekend inside of the weekdays.
 
Finally I am back on the net! My ISP has been down. I am in one of the areas, KY, that was hit by the ice storm. Many are without power and, for some, it will be another 21 days until they can have power again. There is no running water for those counties that are without power due to the pumps working from electricity. Even though my yard is a disaster area, I am glad my power was only off for short periods of time, and shaky at that. There are those in my neighborhood that are still without power. I have almost 30 trees in my big yard. I have one tree down, and tons of large limbs everywhere. We are talking lumberjack, with a chainsaw, heaven here.

Many are staying in local hotels and people are flocking here from hard hit areas to buy gasoline. Our city presently has no gasoline, kerosene, or hotel rooms. Yesterday the local Walmart Super Center was out of bath tissue. NO Toilet Paper!!? Now that, to me, is a crisis!

The worse night was Tuesday. All night there was what sounded like gunshots and chandeliers crashing , it was only the sound of braking limbs under the weight of ice and then hitting the ground. I would jump awake with every sound.
