^ Our "winter storm" last week. The snow stuck for about three days. I'm glad it's gone. I decided the day it snowed to take my wife's van because the big knobby all terrains on my truck are not that great in snow. The van got stuck in the driveway. I called a buddy of mine who had an Acura with snow tires to pick me up. We saw nine accidents ranging from simple spin outs to all out destruction on guard rails. The people here can drive through hurricains, but can't drive for nothing in the snow.

even though i hate the cold................i got to admit i would love to see that at least once in my life

In indiana, 32 degrees right now would be a blessing. :) Our snow is still here, so my brother, who is 15, is making an igloo. It's not working out for him.

32 degrees can literally kill me.. in my country the lowest temperature i ever experienced was 40-50 degrees and is very rare, so i am not used to cold at all and i think it's the same for some Floridians.

I came from a climate that had 115+ days during the summer, and usually 50-70 winter days. All I can say is when it snows, it feels warmer than the days where it doesn' snow because with snow and ice, it becomes an insulator. It iclimate where you can get used to it. It just takes time.

i think i do understand what you mean but the problem is that every year it gets colder than the last.... last year we didn't have freezing temperatures down here (it was only 2 or 3 days though but i couldn't stand it)

Geez, you guys still getting these storms? My area warmed up and it was about 70ish degrees. It felt so good.

Many here in KY are still without electricity. There are around 500 light poles that are down. Basically in some areas they are rebuilding the whole thing. Some are said to be without power for another 10 weeks.
