It's a black SP. With writing on it.

I could do that myself.

Blah blah blah... The regular platinum is fine with me. At least the NES graphic version was unique and had vintage appeal. These new special editions are just kinda lame marketing schemes. Whoever they're paying for these ideas should get fired so the money can go into more games. :D

Ya, the NES ones were really cool, these ones just seem like they only do it because they can. May God have mercy on whoever buys one of these.

I like Nintendo's creativity. They are giving US gamers a wider variety.

I am a Nintendo fan-girl to the end. They can do no wrong.heheheheheh

Now those I would buy. I hope they end up releasing them here as well. If not, I'm definitely importing. Those are awesome collector's items.

Ya, those are pretty cool. Not as cool as the NES one, but if I didn't already own one, I'd definitely think about getting one of those.

I'd agree that THOSE actually are very awesome ones, both unique and high vintage plus collector's appeal!!!!!

Well, I just don't know what point you were trying to proove with that post. It only makes you look like a you-know-what and now you've probably started a fight with people for no reason.

I think that most people here know how to criticise Nintendo. I definately do.

So even when you guys are criticising Nintendo and I'm not, I'm still grumpy and hate Nintendo?

That makes a TON of sense.

And thanks for making me feel welcome Retro.

There's a difference between me criticizing Nintendo in one post and you criticizing Nintendo in every post you make.

I think it's pretty obvious that Nintendo has made some stupid decisions over time. So have the other companies. But that's not even the point. The point is that no matter how valid your criticisms are, it gets old and boring to hear you repeat them in every post you make. You're beating a dead horse. We already know that you think Nintendo is making stupid decisions, that you think the PS2 has better games, that you are tired of ports and rehashes, etc.

Instead of looking at every post and seeing how you can disagree with it, why not try to have a more positive attitude and see where that gets you?

Let me clear this up...

I spent about 4 hours today playing my GameBoy Advance while between classes on my college campus today. I still really like the Super Nintendo as well. My parents own a Game Cube.

I don't hate Nintendo. However, they have not released 32 different colors of Game Cubes, yet the Cube still does fine on sales. Options are great, which is why they have the Cube available in Black, Silver, Purple, etc. However, a little extra design on the chassis of a game system will not decide what game system(s) I buy.

The frequent "special edition" releases are just a very bad marketing scheme. The money used for that particular marketing would be better used developing first party "must-have" games for systems to boost sales.

They should give the DS a removable and replacable shell. So you can buy the custom designs at a fraction of the cost. That would be a good idea for almost any system as a matter of fact. Because, at least for me, I will want or at least be interested in the custom desgins, colors, etc, but I can't justify buying a system I already own just so it looks cooler. But a $20 way I can customize my sytem at will would be amazing.

Actually ya, that would be a cool idea. Then it would be nice to have a huge selection of skins for it, cuz you could swap them and whatnot.

Neph, man, just give it a rest. The fact that most of us agreed on that it was a stupid idea doesn't mean that we did so just because it was "trendy". Besides, you were always the one that said that we never questioned Nintendo's choices and that we were all blind to their marketing tactics. And now that we're contradicting that opinion you attack the opposite side of the arguement? There's just no pleasing you is there?
