By Pendragon's sword the Dark shall fall.
So I just started playing...and I was very strongly against this game when it came out cause I really didn't like FFX-2.....but besides the high estrogen level and darned 100% completion (which is driving me batty) I like it.

I really liekd how they braught the job system back! I LOVE THE JOB SYSTEMS OF OLD!!!!! This is just as good, almost better.
I also like how open ended it is, like if you miss something, they don't bring it up later and than you go "when did that happen?!"
The replay value isn't so good, but I don't like having to go through it so many tiems to get 100%, because you can miss somethign SO small and miss percentage points.
I do like New Game Plus! Being able to keep my abilities, though it makes the game uber easy the second and thrid time through.
Over all I liked it, though Rikku needs riddlein and Yuna needs some Zoloft, while pains needs to chug a bottle of midol X.X

YES! I haven't finished it but I've loved the storyline so far. Didn't hurt that my fav FF character of alltime is in there.........Rikku. :D

I didn't like it...at all. I probably didn't give this game the chance it deserved though. I only was in a couple battles in the very beginning. After the opening cut scene, I lost all hope for Final Fantasy, forever.

You could have always done what I did. I saw FFx-2 for what it was. A continuation of FFX. I too haven't gotten very far. Mainly because I want to finish FFX.

I can get over the cornyness of the opening cut scenes...

I dunno, I knid of dug the opening. It was different than just about every other game, as was the intention. Yuna tradingin her summonerness for a pair of guns. Plus the fact that you could actually on the fly switch what kind of fighters the girls are is a great touch and hopefully something that will be seen in some form or another in future games. Plus I just freakin' love Rikku........modeled after the cute as hell Kate Hudson as far as I'm concerned. Don't believe me, look for yourself.

It's terrible compaired to the original. Scraping one of the best battle systems for one that's fast paced and annoying was a huge mistake. But as a stand alone game, it's...not bad.

....I guess.

Are you referring to the battle system of FFX? If so that battle system MADE ME AGRY. I like good old turn based press a as fast as fricking possible so its your turn. So that made me smile...a lot.

I like FFX-2, but I'm inclined to believe that it's because I didn't grow up a FF fanatic, and therefore have a more open mind about games in the FF series.

I love the battle system, though. It took getting used to, but I love it now.

I'm at about 88% completion right now. I'm stuck on some hard bosses at the moment and need to do a little more leveling up before I can beat the main boss.

If you're trying to beat, as I call it, the angry miyan....HAVE FUN! It took me let's see....about two hours to beat that thing down. The final boss is NO WHERE as hard as that sucker....I think I hate it even though it's not real...

Are you serious? That sucks. I want the completion points, otherwise I would just skip it. I have Yuna and Paine as Dark Knights and use Darkness (Rikku the alchemist heals every round), but it only does about 1800 damage. Is there any attacks that are more powerful? Are there any places where I can get some extra Reflect Rings?

mix a potion and a star curtain, it casts hi wall...protect, reflect, and shell in one swift sweep. Also mix two chocobo feathers to make a chocowing to cast haste on entire party, I also mixed two stamina tablets to make ultra vitility whioch braught my characters up too 9999 HP...but I equipped all of them with HP boosting asseccories...two with a crystle bangle and one with a key to sucess. make sure they dark knights have their -proofs..it helps with bloody breath. Also when the left guy looks like he's about to vomit...have the alchemist mix two rememdies...it castes Pancea which heals the entire part of all status....but this is the most important thing....USE DARKNESS EVERYROUND! Keep at least one of the angry miyan's lackies down at AAAALLLLL times...that way he/she/it can't use perdition's falme.

I actually already beat it, not long after I posted this. :lol I ended up beating the game with 96%, which, although not what I was aiming for (I wanted 100%), I still loved the ending, so it was all good.

Your title was kind of misleading. I thought you meant the movie X-Men 2 (also called X2) ::)

Yeah, I thought that too :lol

You guys do know that you don't HAVE to do everything in order to get 100% completion right?

No, you just have to play the game twice. You see, if you do a new game+ it saves your percentage from the previous game. What you do is when you are asked to choose a side (Youth League or New Yevon) you have certain parts of the story line specificly assigned to that side. If you pick the opposite one during your second playthrough, you gain the percentage for that side, which I guess they didn't take into account and because of that, you can technically get over 100% if it calculated all of it.

Wow, I hope I didn't just confuse anybody :lol

if is was X Men I wouldn't have posted it here....because it wouldn't ahve belonged here....and that movie is so old anyways....

anyways....I just got through the Den of Woe! Whoooooooo! *it bored me to death* Now I must hunt for Chocos....erg....

Well, I didn't look at where this was at before I clicked on it, so I didn't realize until I got here. :lol

Well, good luck.

it's just a pain to get four chocos at level five...some stop leveling right at level four...than I need to send out three of each without them running away....to get the "amazing" chocobo so I can get the secret dungeon so I can go through and kill all the pathetically weak mosters to get some percenmtage points....blah.

I don't like walktrhough I decided...they are helpful and all...but they say thing like "don't fight it run away it'll eat you alive." and I fight it and three rounds later dead Elder Drake....Than they say "this boss isn't that bad really"....and than the angry miyan kills me....again.
