No, you just have to play the game twice.  You see, if you do a new game+ it saves your percentage from the previous game.  What you do is when you are asked to choose a side (Youth League or New Yevon) you have certain parts of the story line specificly assigned to that side.  If you pick the opposite one during your second playthrough, you gain the percentage for that side, which I guess they didn't take into account and because of that, you can technically get over 100% if it calculated all of it.

Wow, I hope I didn't just confuse anybody :lol

Ha ha, that's a nice loophole. I got 96%, so I really only need 4%. Too bad I'd have to play the whole thing again. It's too soon to do that.

Besides, I liked the ending I got. I read what the ending is if you get 100% and it's not all that different.

I wanan see the ending that you get if you let the cannon fire...thats sound pretty darn nifty, blowing up Spira. I tried to the first time...but I beat Vegnagun all too easily this time is gonna be so much more easy cause my girls are already level 75 and I'm only on cloister 80 of Via Infinito

You know what though? I didn't care for the Battle System. I mean...I got through pretty much the whole game without using anything other than Attack, Trigger Happy, Mix, and the Dark Knight's Darkness. Occasionally some of the Gun Mage stuff was helpful, but for the most part, I could have done without most of the Dresspheres anyway. The battle system was too much in real-time for menus to be useful. It would be like, I'd be in the middle of a battle and I would be looking through the menu to use like Excalibur or something, and by the time I pick it, the battle's already over. I think if they were going to have a menu system that deep that the battles shouldn't have been in real-time like they were.

Hence my campaigne for the olden days! Where FF games were turn based! Where you could filter through your magic, and than you had 30+ spells, and not worry about dieing or the battle being over by the time you finally chose a spell. I want that back because I am usually a magic based player. I'll have an uber mage, and uber fighter, and some one else for support. The joys of FFVIII and below!

Yeah, if they are going to be real time, they should have hot keys, or have it set up like the battle system in Tales of Legendia.

I think one of the few real time based sytems I like is Loegend of Zelda and Kingdom Hearts. I LOVE the battle system for KHII, it was a big improvement from teh first. If they had made FFX-2 like that, it would have been really good.

Yeah I don't really like real-time that much, but I LOVED the battle system for Kingdom Hearts II. That would be pretty cool for X-2, but I'm not sure how that would work.

FFVI has Sephiroth so it wins by default.
I don't know FFVIII had a pretty kick story line. Plus a flying garden! What's better than a flying garden?Sephiroth, thats a bout it.

Overall I liked X-2, it was pretty neat and for the 100% completion you have to do all the advertising for the Calm Lands thing (i don't remember what its called) and thats what got me 99% >:(

But off the subject, Mai is Tales of Legendia any good?

Tales of Legendia is kind of tricky. Parts of it are great, and parts of it aren't...but the good parts do make it worth playing. :)

Good points:
Battle system - Real time battles, and it was created by the Namco team that does the Soul Calibur games
Character Quests
Most of the game is voice-acted and it's good VA
Music

Bad Points:
Uninspired dungeon design
Main story
Random battles

In terms of comparing it to other Tales games, Legendia is a bit of a step backwards compared to other recent games such as Tales of Symphonia (Gamecube), but IMO the Character Quests (second part of the game) made it worth it. I really got involved with the characters' storylines.

Sounds like I'm not getting that, Thanks a lot

just not a big fan of action battles in rpg's unless they're really good - Dark Cloud

I even tried numerous titles like Tales of Symphonia, Radiata Stories and Star Ocean. Star Ocean was the only decent one - didn't really appeal to me

sorry to double it up here.....

Mai, I went out and picked up Star Ocean again just for you. I want to see if I can get used to it. I guess I like to just sit back and strategize more than just beat the hell outta somethin
