No Elder Scrolls? Thats too bad.... I realize that there will be Oblivion, but I wish that both were playable.

there is a game called sneakers?

How can those games be the only games that are backward compatible?

I guess it could be worse... non could be... :lol

Sneakers? The mouse game? I heard it was very good, was once a Japanese exclusive, then became a Toys R Us exclusive...and that was it

um... if it was the TRU exclusive.. I heard that got bad reviews.... I'll have to see if I can dig it up... or if anyone knows where the reviews are, post it up :)

I remember hearing about that game when the system launched. It was one I actually followed cuz it looked like a lot of fun. I'd still like to rent it sometime, despite the reviews, it seems like it's worthy playing at least once.

Edit: I also think that's a fairly good list. When they said "not fully backwards compatible" I feared the worst, but I'd say they did a pretty good job of getting as many games as they could.

...where's Doom 3 and the Resurrection of Evil?

Like I said, there are some rather conspicuous gaps...

All Xbox 1 games will be playable on the 360, or at least the majority of them will be, via XBL downloads, patches downloaded off of Xbox.com, or a free CD shipped to you by MS (S&H do apply)

I'm guessing they focused on getting certain core games (Halo's, Fable, etc) and the parts of the code they wrote to make those major games playable also made a smattering of lesser games playable as well. I doubt they got together and said "OK, we need to make sure to get Drake, Mike Tyson Boxing, FIFA 2003 and Stake: Fortune Fighters" playable on Day 1 STAT! :D

Yeah, this sucks major. All I can hope is that this is a list that will grow over time.

Omg, after reading the list this is making me not want to get it now. PS2 basically played all PS1 games and Im pretty sure PS3 is going to do the same with both consoles.

Backwards compatibility has never been a big deal for me. Sure I would prefer having it, but is it really that big a deal? If you want to play Xbox games wait till the 360 is out for awhile and then pick up a used one for cheap. I know when I got my OOT/Master Quest game for GC I played it up until the second temple, and then never touched it again. I just busted out my 64 and played it on there with the old controls and whatnot.

I dunno, in my opinion if you're gonna buy a 360 you should do so because you want to play 360 games on it. If you'd rather have the Xbox library available to you then buy an Xbox.

And as Spartan has said (numerous times) ALL 360 games will be playable on the 360, just not right away.

:lol but the thing is.... what is cheap? I mean it is $400 now... it won't drop more than $50 in the 1st 8 months at least.... and even then I doubt it will go down in price.

Yeah, I don't really understand why people are getting upset over the BC. Sure, it would be nice, but the 360 can play lots of new games. But MS came through as far as I'm concerned. They weren't going to have BC at first, but when their fans cried out, MS responded.
