Well, the 3rd intercooler works like a charm. Also, with the intercooler you can feel the difference in the temperature of the 360. More fans are always better. Custom PC's now come with 2 to 3 fans.
You can never run a system too cool i have 4 fans on my PC not counting the CPU's and power supply i have 2 intake fans in the front a side exhaust fan above the CPU and a rear exhaust so system is always cool most PC's can get by on the 1 rear exhaust fan but all it takes is that fan to go out while your not around to ruin your system so i say the more the better just think of it as an insurace policy and if your Xbox heats up dramatically without the additional fans there is an internal problem with the Xbox because i have mine tucked into the wall I built my entertainment center into my wall so everything is flush and has doors to cover when not used and my center never gets hot and it has a reciever and a TV to add heat to it as well

Not really. In a PC, for example, it's better to have less, more efficient fans rather than a bunch of worthless fans. Two 120mm fans are much quieter and more efficient than two 80mm fans. It's all about how they're set up.
