Really sorry, i no this has probably been asked loads of times. I just want it explained a bit more. Can someone explain what u have to do to get Xbox live from the beggining and the cost? Also can you get wireless set up for it? Is it worth it for however it costs a month? Sorry again, thanks :)
 
1. you get a month of Xbox Live Gold at the beginning with a premium xbox

2. There is a wireless adapter, which costs lots of money

3. well worth the cost - like $50 for a year (?)

I probablly know more... not to sound arrogant, but creepin doesn't even have a 360 IIRC.

You can use almost any wireless adaptor with the 360. You may want to check before buying, but any ethernet or USB wireless bridge should work.
 
U cant connect via ur computer can u with ethernet cable? It has to be ethernet cable into wireless router right? Can u name a few router that will work for 360 or even a link to a site. Thanks and sorry for the noobish.
 
I just ordered a xbox wireless game adapter, i got one for the PS2 when i had one and never got it to work so hopefully i'll be able to figure this one out!
 
Ok i have a netgear wireless router for my pc and all works fine. When i wanted to play ps2 online i had to take my ps2 and tv downstairs and had to connect ethernet cable from ps2 to my router so i have ordered a 360 wireless adapter to prevent this. Its just guna be trying to get it work that will be a nightmare. Sorry got another question. Where do i register and pay for xbox live? do i do it from the site or do it from the 360? Thanks for all your help!!! :)
 
you can go to the store (wal-mart, etc.) and buy a kit. thats what i did but i imagine you can go online
 
ok this is what i have done. I'v set up a gold account but when i got to test connection it says that my wireless network is connected but my ip has failed. I stil have 3 bars of signal but when i go to connect it says, some profiles could not be signed in to xbox live. there may be a network problem or profile that is not valid. test connection or recover your profile from xbox live. In edit settings it has automatically picked up my ip address subnet mask and gateway is 0.0.0.0. DNS settings are all 0.0.0.0 and my wireless setting are done.

Wireless mode 802.11g
Network name btvoyager****-BE
Network type Infastructure (channel 4)
Wireless Security Wep

All additional settings arent set.

Im lost to be honest, im guna need noob instructions for this. I will be very greatful for some help. Thanks
 
Ok, iv got a bit further. iv connected to my router using my ssid and wep. Wireless is connected its just my IP that fails. What can i do? Just got saints row 2day and really want to play multiplayer. Hope someone out there can help!? :?
 
go to the "connect to" on your comp and show all connections then check the IP address and DNS for your comp thats what i did when i couldnt figure anything out for my 360
 
Sorry can you explain a little more? where is 'connect to'? is the ip on my 360 meant to be the same as my netgear router?
 
well i have windows so you so to the START button the to "connect to" then show all coneections and then click on your connection and then click the "support" tab and it shows your IP and stuff. but theres probly a big chance im goin about this all wrong

do all of this on your computer, not the 360
 
Hi everyone. So i finally got my wireless working on the 360!!!! ;D :lol :) The only way i can do it at the moment is if i disable my WEP, but thats all good as long as i can play online. Got my butt kicked on World Cup and loved it!! ::)
