You Have To Be Kidding Me

Haha, mmmmmm ,chalupa...

It just seems so ludicrous to be bringing these things up. These things haven't been appearing for millenia, they've been seen since the 60's and having several come forward and claim they've done it.

They have been happening for longer, but no system was ever in place to record and track this phenomena. It wasn't until after WWII (after nuclear bombs were successfully detonated all over the world, which could explain an increase in frequency of alien craft coming to our planet) with all the intelligence gathering agencies (Cold War surveillance) that UFO's and crop circles became a large priority. It was incumbent for the government to explain these phenomena to make sure they weren't being spied on. Either to their relief or horror, they realized the majority of these cases couldn't be explained.

Accuracy could be ensured through geometry.

For example, if you wished to flatten a perfect square of corn, or wheat, or whatever your crop may be, all you would have to do is drive four stakes in the ground, with an equal distance between adjacent stakes. This would give you an outline of the square (guaranteed to have four 90 degree angles), and you would merely have to flatten all crops within the square. Circle? Put a stake in the center, attach a rope to it, move away from the stake until the rope is tense, then walk around it flattening as you go. Virtually any shape that is in a crop circle can be created relatively easily, and accurately, provided you measure correctly, and know a bit about geometry.

Here is a photo from here in Minnesota to support your explanation.

He's not an alien an he's been doing this for years. He's a farmer who traditionally does this around Halloween.

There was one not too long ago were a farmer was able to accurately reproduce the image of his Purple Heart medal in the fields.

Well if you consider a 76' Pinto a space ship..then yes :)

I mean we aren't talking about very thought provoking material here. Sorry if I'm a killjoy or anything, I'm just surprised to see something like this in these forums. Bigfoot, Lochness monster...old debunked hoaxes. How many people were fooled by that supposed asian man speaking out "they're selling us baby livers for food! stop them! Here's photographic proof!"? Nice try. A quick look and you can see that its an autopsy (for a forensic manual no doubt) and a picture of a baby food aisle in a super market.

I don't doubt that there is intelligent life out there. The odds are against us to think that we are the only life in the universe. If there are beings out there and they wanted to be noticed, I'd like to think they'd do something a little more obvious that messing up some corn field.

Hi weaponepsilon, perhaps crop circles are their way of trying to let us know that we're not alone, sometimes something that comes across as subtle can have massive gravity.Crop circles don't tell, they show.

crap, i think i got Joyling killed. Moment of silence........ Okay moment over.

Why would aliens care about us knowing or not, maybe we're looking in the wrong direction, i think its either some freaky cult thats tryin' to contact their god, or its the morelocks, getting ready to take over the night from the rule of man.

Do you care about Aliens?,seems most of the world does.I know some people don't care about Aliens, but to me,integrating with other life forms is a breakthrough of the greatest magnitude.Stop making excuses people :o

I make crop circles in my back yard with my lawnmower every summer. They don't last long though. I usually mow over them and finish the job so my wife doesn't scream at me like a crazy banshee.

I also hear that '76 Ford Pintos are all the rage for space craft these days. NASA is even looking into it. But I'm not sure if they are keen on the tapping of the bumper to set off the afterburners. I guess in some tests the whole craft goes up in flames in microseconds. It's something that even Ford is embarassed about.

it'd kinda be like our dogs leaving a message saying (hey, pssssssssssst, we know you exist)

I believe they exist, I mean, this universe is just too big for us to be the only ones. That being said, I don't believe that they are abducting some of the stupidest people on the planet and giving them anal probes and making crop circles. I believe they might view us from a distance but they would have no reason to make their presence known to us, being that we're so primitive. Crop circles have been proven time and again to be done by people with sticks a rope. Granted, it takes a while, but I would think that people capable of traveling across such great distances would have a better way of communicating then crop circles.

Or maybe they're just as or less advanced than us, so they don't know about us and probably never will.

Sure, I was just going off people assuming they've been here which would denote a good amount of intelligence to get here. Also, it seems like people think there is only one other race out there if they do believe in aliens. I think there are quite a bit more than one. They also look just like us IMO.

If aliens look just like us, they could already be living amongst us, and therefore making crop circles out of boredom! So everyone can be right! :lol
