Cancelled/Unreleased games you would have liked

Another game that comes to mind is a lost PS1 game that was deemed too violent. "Thrill Kill". A 4 player fighting game that had an unusual array of characters and tried to cash-in during the 3D era of Mortal Kombat 4. The beta disc was produced. It never saw the light of day.

RENT-A-HERO No. 1 for Xbox. This was another Sega franchise that never got any love, except in Japan. America was going to get it, but the only signs of who the heck RENT-A-HERO was included in Fighter's MegaMix on Sega Saturn.

And I'm surprised nobody has said...STAR FOX 2 on SNES. Not to mention, Mega Man in Wily Wars should have been released on the US Sega Genesis. Not to mention, MOTHER 3 on GBA and Mega Man Anniversary Collection on GBA.

Among the few, the one I always remember that was going to be made, was Star Craft: Ghost. That game demo got me so psyched for it, then a year later I was really sad when I found it would never be made.

I remember seeing screenshots of that in magazines. Wasn't one of the characters some kind of dominatrix or something?

Mary 'ban everything now' Whitehouse would have loved that game :-)

I'm glad someone said it. :lol I was looking forward to this one, as well.

After watching some random Starcraft related youtube videos, I am still wishing that Bliz had released Starcraft: Ghost. I am sure it is scrapped by now, though the company has not officially ditched it apparently. It is unfortunate though, since I bet a lot of great work got lost.

I do not see how it could be integrated into Heart of the Swarm well enough to make up for not relasing Ghost as a stand alone title.

Ultra Descent ... it was supposed to come out for the Nintendo 64. There were commericals too...

I'm not exactly sure what happened :( But I REALLY WISH this title was released.

Especially since Ghost was basically a completed game... if memory serves correct.

It'd be nice if it was released as vaporware so at least gamers could see it. But, knowing Bliz, they'll clutch to it so it will never see the light of day since it was not perfect to their standards.
