EVENTUALLY!!!, the month the PS3 takes control

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

I bet half the people who bought Crackdown camped out for days and wasted $50 just to get into the multiplayer beta. That's pretty dumb, but they were hardcore fans.

Well Cherry, some people just aren't like you. Some people want to spend a wad of cash on a game. Also, there are some pretty crazy Halo fans out there dude, and they would pay anything just to say they have it. You have to think about it from a Halo fan's point of view, not the "get 2 instead of 1", point of view.

But when people really like or are loyal to Sony and buy a ps3 then they are retarded.... I see

Yep. It's a sad thing. People who buy PS3's are retarded. Go eat a lampshade or something.

Or they just think differently than you. NO WAY!!!! :o
I think its just as stupid to pay a fourth of the price of the PS3 for one game and a plastic helmet as it is to spend four times that for a console you can play multiple games on. I actually think its more stupid because you'll probably get bored of Halo 3 within a couple months, but new games are always coming out for the PS3 which you will be able to play.

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

Yeah, new games are coming out, but not really...ones people want to play. There's no real everybody game on the PS3.

Well said. I'm buying it cause i'm a big Halo fan and I can afford it and other games. Since there's no other games I really have my eyes on...why would I buy a regular Halo 3 and jus some game I'd get bored of and eventually turning out to be a wast of money?

Also Cherry, Halo 3 may become boring to some....but Halo 2 still is very popular today. It's called multiplayer.

I just got back from vacation. My whole thing is that this Halo 3 Special Edition with the Mini Replica Helmet was suppose to be $89.99 or $99.99, but now it is $130.00. That is my whole complaint!

I am also tomorrow because Circuit City is giving you a 4 foot Wall Poster of Master Chief (Like a Fat Head) with any Halo 3 Pre-Order.

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

hmmm...I think I'll make a topic about the Legendary Edition in the 360 section, instead of us talking about it in some random thread in the PS3 section.

Ever since I heard about it when it was first released it was $125. $5 more didn't kill me.

No, at one point it was $100 then they added $30.

The Gamestops here originally had it at $125.

Back to topic...I guess since Halo 3 owns September...and this thread...PS3's not gonna do much.

I bet PS3 owners wont be "retarded" when they're playing Heavenly Sword, God of War 3, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XIII, Devil May Cry 4 etc.

Well, I got both systems, so I will be in for a double-treat! :D

But, EB Games and Game Stop had it for a pre-sale for $89.99 at first and then just changed it here and also online. I pre-bought it online in February on EB Games web-site for $89.99, then they changed the price and I got my money back.

The smart thing they should have done was honor the original price instead of just giving your money back. It's not like they are losing money by selling it for $89 versus $125. The only thing that would change was their profit margin.

I'd like to know why you think this way. No, I don't have a PS3. But sometime down the road I will buy one. Will I suddenly lose 50 IQ points after my purchase??

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

Yeah, totally Dart. No Dart, I'm kidding. I thought maybe everybody had learned to pick up on my obvious sarcastic tone. No, people who buy PS3's are not retarded. I myself will probably get one once it goes down in price and gets some good games.

No, I asked for my money back because I was not going to pay the $130.00 for it.
