GH:WT vs RB2! Let's start early!

Rock Band is easier, but I believe that is because it's more analogous to what playing the song on real guitar would actually be like. It is far more tactile, precise, and ultimately rewarding and fun to play. Playing a song in GH may be more of a challenge, but playing it in Rock Band feels more like you're actually playing the song, which is more satisfying to me. To understand the difference between the game, I would highly recommend reading this:

Harmonix is staffed with people who love music, not just listening to it but playing it as well, and who try to bring that experience to video games. Neversoft seems to be staffed with people who love (hardcore/challenging/time-consuming) video games, and try to bring that ideology to music. I believe, for myself at any rate, the former approach is the correct one.

If I could give you rep I would. Hit the nail right on the head. As for the whole shebang I don't care about drums, but I wouldn't mind vocals. I wonder if you can buy the microphone separate?

That is true, but I greatly prefer the guitar over all other forms of instrument. It's the only one that I can say I know how to play the real version of.

I can play drums, guitar, and bass in the real world :D. I would probably also go with GH:WT because I don't have any new systems and I am probably going to buy a ps3 so I would get GH:WT for the drums alone. Also the difficulty factor would help my decision also.

OMFG I can't play drums off of Easy, but I can sing in Hard and probably on Expert as well, haven't really tried it though. God knows I have had enough vocal lessons. :-[

After 5 songs on Easy with the drums...I need a nap LOL

No way. Get Rock Band 2 so we can jam together!

Yeah, Rock Band 2 is gonna have much better songs and charts. They say reading the list of bands included is like a 'Who's who of rock music'.

Rock Band 2 will work with the guitar hero drums right? Then I would just buy rock band separately.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. In fact, after the last mix-up between the instrument cross-over, I think both sides are going to ensure such a debacle doesn't happen again.

Oh man that sucks. That makes everything a lot harder haha.

Yeah I know, especially cuz I like Rock Band more than GH, but I like GH's guitar more than Rock Band's. :lol

Yeah I'm in the same exact boat as you I think, and the new GH drums look sick.

Harmonix fanboi so I go where they do, I will be getting Rock Band 2 most definately. Especially since all RB1 d/l content will AUTOMATICALLY add to your RB2 tracklist ;)
