GTA 4

bad things about it....

u cant customize ur cars
u cant buy ur own properties
keeping everybody happy can be very tedious
the extra stuff (the tv shows and the stage performances) are seriously waste of time and game space

^^ my only complaints period....the gunplay can be absolutely devastatingly fun and intense..spoiler...like when Roman gets kidnapped...JEEZ that was GREAT. the car handling is really well done. hand to hand combat is GREAT...i love dodging and just catchin sumbody with an uppercut...u notice that the cab drivers are ALWAYS willing to fight?? just like in NEW YORK....driving over the bridge or gettin into a helicopter at 1 o clock in the morning really can be breathtaking.

Don't really worry about not being able to customize because I'm usually swiping whatever's handy anyway.

I like not having to buy properties now cuz you get them for free when completing certain missions.
Kill Playboy X instead of Dwayne and you'll get his penthouse. Great place for malicious sniping and RPGing, too, just go to bed to lose your wanted level.

And you don't have to make friends if you don't want to, but the perks are pretty good.
So far, I've got Roman sending taxis, Little Jacob giving me guns and Dwayne providing thugs for back-up. Still "bro-mancing" Brucie and Packie.

Yeah, the stage shows are kinda lame but some of the TV stuff is funny.
Kat Williams is probably the best stage/TV show.

I really had mixed feelings about the driving physics at first, but after winning my first race and completing the bank robbery getaway I'm starting to love them. Much more rewarding when you win or escape. Still, once the "wow factor" wears off you realize it's just GTA, but that's not necessarily a bad thing either.

Re: GTA 4 A 10 out of 10!11

I'm loving it, but I wouldn't call it a perfect 10 either. I think the closest to perfection I've ever played on a console would be Super Mario 64 and even that had its flaws. Maybe something like Robotron could be called a perfect 10 because of its simple elegance. Or maybe more complex games can never be considered as perfect.

and it seems everyone is afraid to say it, but they took all of the cool ideas from Saint's Row and put that GTA coating over it. the GPS System, the cops search radius, the physics of the peds, which is not bad, i hoped that they would. first time i set a waypoint in Saint's Row and it gave a direct route. i said to myself "why didnt GTA do this?"

Give it some more time. It takes 3 or 4 hours to really start to get a handle on the controls and everything that's going on. At first I was overwhelmed with everything. Once I settled into it and got a feel for the way the game world worked (ironically I had to start thinking about it as though I was there in reality) I really started to have fun with it.

I love nearly everything about this game. I'm still taken aback by how this game looks and plays out. The AI is incredible, I can't get over the intelligence of the cops. But the seamless animations are what really just floor me with this game. Finally game engines are setting up systems that can deal with a multitude of variable input and simply let the player execute whatever they want to see. When I play this game I don't feel I'm triggering specific, pre-determined animations. Instead I feel like I'm doing something no one has done before in the game. I feel like I'm breaking it. Which, for some reason, feels really good.

The "incredible" AI of the cops is out-dimmed only by that of your cohorts. They're always getting caught behind doorways and stumbling into traffic.
I literally had to push Dwayne through the doorway to the strip club to get him to enter and that idiot Packie kept running out of the bank right up next to a police car, then proceeded to shoot it to pieces and blow himself up.
Bad enemy AI is kinda funny in a shooting fish in a barrel sort of way, like when a bunch of cops rush through the door and run around in circles, knocking into each other like a spontaneous 5-0 mosh pit, but not so much fun when you're escorting friendlies.

Don't get me wrong, it's a helluva game, but still far from perfect.

The game is pretty fun, so far the story has been interesting and I'm really liking what I can do in the game. Liberty City is a lot of fun to play in, and the combat system is fun.

Is it just me, or is this game a little glitchy? I had the game give me an "unreadable disc" error (the disc is clean) a few times and freeze on me while trying to go on the first date with Michelle.

The game is pretty much amazing, it is a lot more than I expected. The graphics are unbelievableand the story line is really well thought out and easy to follow. A lot of the missions are challenging, whcich is good, but they are not impossible to do. I would deffintley reccomend purchasing GTA4

Agreed fully. I can see why this game is still number 1 on gamerankings.com. It's the little things that were added that push the franchise forward, IMO.

I love this game alot its really well done the graphics and game play are amazing for GTA. But my disc aint workin, i get to 1 of Elizabeta's missions and it freezes and my 360 freezes too :( it still works i can do side missions but i cant continue with the main story :( goto take the game bak and get another 1

What's your favorite music station on the new GTA IV? I like The Beat 102.7... Favorite song "Dirty New Yorker" by Prodigy. Anyone know the cheapest place to pick it up? I tried the whole download via the Social Club but they make you jump through hoops to buy it.... I ended up finding the entire Prodigy Album (H.N.I.C Part 2) by going directly to Amazon.com, but why add a feature that is so hard to use on GTA IV???

Ocarina of Time will never fall.
Yeah, because there were so few reviewers around at its launch. It has an inherent advantage over any game released after it on Gamerankings because, generally, the more reviewers review the game, the lower the average score goes.

The PS3 version of GTAIV is lower than the 360 one, and it has fewer reviews.
