Well, day one is over, and all I can say is Wii for the win. There's no doubt, this is Wii3. Quick recap for now:

The Wii is SO SMALL. It's so tiny.

The controller is SO light and it feels fantastic, especially the rumble.

Metroid Prime 3 kicks all sorts of ass up, down, left, and right. It controls like god, much less consider the beauty of it.

Super Mario Galaxy presents a lot of promise - very strange game.

Virtual console seems all well with titles running from both SEGA and Nintendo with no problems observable as of yet.

DS has a killer showing.

You will LOVE the Wii. Detailed impressions later.

Aside from Wii, my primary interest was, surprisingly, a 360 game from Capcom. Sadly, I've lost even more respect for Sony this time around. The "me-too-but-still-hundreds-more-and-cheap"idiot"edition-lacks-blue-ray-movie-playback" is pure bull.

I'll believe it when I see it. It's easy for Nintendo fans to say their system's going to win. Why? Because you like Nintendo. I like all three systems to their fullest. But I just don't think Nintendo's gonna cut it.

My Buddy got some info in the Ps3... and I am going to post it up shortly.... the "known" stuff.

and I don't think it's going to own.  I am HONESTLY going into this with an open mind, so please strip away all the fanboy comments.     IMO.. they are making a very critical mistake.... just business wise.  IMO it's in the same vein (or type) of mistake that Nintendo made with the N64.

And for the record... yes, my friend likes nintendo. BUT... he is one of all the systems... He owns them all, plays them all.

If the PS3 was even $400, I'd say it would stand a very good chance of knocking out the competition. The price tag alone tells me we have us a good ol fashioned console war on our hands...

That's what she said. OH SNAP! :lol :lol :lol

MP... *yawn* ... it was boring on the GC and it will be boring on the Rev.

Super Mario Galaxy presents a lot of promise - very strange game.

Looks like Psychonauts 1 and a half. Could be more to it, I'll have to play it first obviously, but concept wise from what I've seen, it's been done.

I'm still waiting for some numbers (prices) before I get too excited about that.

DS has a killer showing.

My interest in the DS begins and ends with Nintendo's plans for connectivity. Games like FF:CC and Zelda: 4 Swords were, in my opinion, the culmination of the worst idea for console gaming ever. I would rather have downloadable expansions, fee-based online service, separately sold memory cards, rumble paks (all of which I think are terrible ideas for console gaming) before I would ever agree to games based solely on connectivity ($250 Wii + $150 DS = should have gotten a 360 instead).

All that aside, I still want to try to the Wii.

:lol man....   I understand how some people don't like metroid prime... but because you don't like it doesn't make it a great game :)  Both 1 and 2 are well liked.  I am SURE 3 will be better..... why?  You look with the controller now... and THAT will change EVERYTHING IMO.  I agree that the controls were a bit clunky... and that's why the controller look will change everything. NEVER-the-less... it was a great game. Even though the scanning feature sucked at times, it was rather cool (on a second time through) reading all the info.... even though a bit tedious.

I think you will warm up more in the future :lol

Dude... get a DS.. they rule  :p

when riding a motorcycle one has to dress accordingly.

Is it just me or is the Wii starting to look like it may have a chance of putting Nintendo back on top?

Hey man I agree 100% Nintendo is making their moves and re-writing how video games should be! :D

The Wii is shaping up to do insanely well. I'm surprised at how well it's handled at the show and how poorly Sony is handling things... even I am looking toward Microsoft as the second runner for good console showing this generation, and that's saying something.
