Man, the PS3 doesn't get any love...

I have a PS3 already, but I was going around today and saw no PS3's or Wii's at 3 Wal-Marts, 2 Targets, Circuit City, CompUSA, and Best Buy (I was looking for work related cables and since I was in that dept area I looked. I wonder if Sony sends them to the wrong areas?!?!? I hate Sony, but love the PS3. Go Figure!

Possibly. This was in Wake Forest today. The Target in Raleigh had three (I went there two days ago to return a broken vacuum cleaner). I never go to the Wally World in Henderson, but my next door neighbor says that they always have a huge selection of games, and that they don't even keep them behind display cases.

Personally, I don't mind Sony. I don't consider myself a fanboy of any manufacturer. I just don't see the need to spend thatmuch for a console right now being as I have other projects that are in need of attention (I've been a homeowner for three months now).

I never minded Sony until they put out crap hardware with the PS2. It was like every other one had an issue. I just fell in love with the Xbox and the 360 now, but I always hated Microsoft (being a Network Manager for 12 years and seeing the crap they put out does that to you). That is the reason I never buy a New OS until a year after release. Anyway, we built a new house 3 years ago, so we have not had to put too much money into it because we chose everything we wanted (except my TV's and sofa's - my wife gets mad at how much I spend on that stuff). But, our house before this one we plugged about $70,000 in to it to fix it up and put on additions.
 
Yeah, if I do pick up a PS3, it won't be until probably next year. I'm going to pull permits hopefully next month for a garage. When that's done, my wife wants me to build a deck in the back yard.
 
dude the wait is almost over.. on the 20 its all said and done.. vf5 on the 20 motostorm on the 6th dude it over. after the 20th there is going to be a game out almost every two to three weeks.

Too bad I do not still live in NC (I lived in Durham for a while and then went to UNC-Wilmington for a while to play hoops) or I would help you out. I know how much "Fun" it is to do that stuff. Good Luck!

And what games might those be? I haven't really been following future PS3 titles, so I would like to know.

Yeah I haven't really heard of any good PS3 exclusives. VF5 looks ok and Motorstorm looks like it might make every system crash.

battlefield bad company motostorm vf5 comes out in march.. i posted others on the forums but dont feel like looking for them

I don't think Bad Company will be that great. They need to give consoles a straight port of the PC games, as it is now the 360 or PS3 could easily handle them.

Yup. Just add keyboard and mouse functionality and there should be no reason why it can't be done. Im personally not a fan of playing with keyboards but I can see how others prefer them.

Okay, the 360 has sold 6 Million More Units than the Wii, but is at 29% and the Wii is at 52%. I think they have the numbers mixed.

Really, I think it's mainly the price that's causing the problem. $400 for a worthwile 360 was pushing the limit as is. $600 for a worthwile PS3 was really too dependant on fanboyism.

Now, I haven't played one, and granted, some of the games look pretty **** good.

We'll see when the new FF's and what not come out. If they can't drag the PS3 out of the dirt, then nothing will.

By the way, and this is just guesstimating, but I'd bet that at least every 3 out of 4 people who bought a PS3 sold it again on Ebay for double the price.
 
If it hasn't been mentioned yet, Gamefaqs has a more Nintendo-oriented fanbase (consistent), thus the poll is slightly biased in that direction.

Those same stores are lucky to get 3 Wii in that last no longer than 10-30 minutes.

Sony gets no love because they never deserved any.
