Would you rather have KoToR 3 or an MMO?

I am merely defending my post. If it isn't attacked, the argument will end.Strubes said:Do u see what we're going back and forth about?
That is probably it, but honestly, if I didn't know that Kotor 3 wasn't going to happen, my vote would go to Kotor 3. I mean, look at the message that went along with the announcement. "LucasArts and BioWare invite you to attend the official unveiling of the game that's been rumored about for years." Kotor 3 rumors have been around for the past four years, while the Bioware Austin studio that is developing the MMO opened only a little over two years ago. Rumors of the Kotor MMO aren't much more than a year old. There is also the fact that about a year ago, BioWare announced that it was working on a project with Lucasarts, one independent from the MMO. The hooded figure in the background of the figure also bares a striking resemblance to Kreia, from the second game. The fact that it is a statute makes it seem likely to me that the picture is one of the temple on Malachor V (I won't go into details there to avoid spoilers). Honestly, I'm beginning to think there is a glimmer of hope that this is Kotor 3.Fr0dus Maximus said:The KoToR MMO. The game that was confirmed post-E3 will be officially announced.
Fr0dus Maximus said:I would rather 3. But, take a key point that KoToR MMO hasn't been officially been announced just confirmed. There was another article either on slashdot.org or edge-online.com that reported this a week ago.

Strubes said:Hmm, probably gonna be exclusive to 360 either way though?
I wasn't attacking it though..it's all good though. Enough about that.
It will probably be on the PC too. Now that EA is at the helm, we could see both a 360 version and a PC version being released at the same time, rather than the game being ported to the PC a few months later like BioWare has done lately.Strubes said:Hmm, probably gonna be exclusive to 360 either way though?
x2 said:Yet again I just have to ask why? If you are a fan of video games I simply do not see how you could not like KOTOR as it basically exemplifies everything a good game should be. Again, the character development is as deep as it gets, the landscapes are varied and interesting, the main story and character sub-stories are as well written as any great movie, the mini games are fun, the voice acting is perfect, the replay value is excellent, and most of all the gameplay is phenomenal due to the high amounts of character customization. I am not saying you aren't entitled to an opinion, nor am I looking for an argument, I am just literally asking what about the game you didn't like?
x2 said:I can see your points about the combat. I am a fan of turn based RPG's so for me that was not an issue. I don't know. From the start of the game until the credits rolled I was immersed in the story and all the sub stories. I truly did enjoy the environments and meeting all the new NPC's on them. I loved doing some of the tactical stuff in this game such as planting a bunch of mines then leading enemies over them. That was a lot of fun. I shouldn't say it is a perfect game because it did have faults. But the majority of reviews give this game around a 8-9 which I is what I would give it. Not a perfect 10, but a dang good game. And while your opinion on the game is in the deep minority, I still respect the fact that you actually explained why in detail![]()

I do understand that critically and financially this game is a success, and I try my best not to reprimand those who do like it. I fully accept being in the minority on this, because for some reason, this game just doesn't click with me. There's nothing technically wrong with it, its just not my style of game.

For Christ's sake the second game was tailor-made for a sequel. The ending was a damned cliffhanger. >_>
Oh well, this looks somewhat promising at least. -___-
Nah, MMO's make a lot more money. >_>Fr0dus Maximus said:You would think EA would do a sequel... since it's, well you know, EA.

Zidart said:*points at countless of sports games* i think if they discovered how much they could juice out of the KOTOR series they would treat them like sports games
