Offical GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR thread

I just don't like the fact that Activision is charging for their online on PS3/Wii and the fact that they seem to think that changing a songs sound (Devil Went Down to Georgia from GH3) makes it seem more fit for a game and adding notes that don't need to be there to make a good game.

eh, they have a bunch of songs that I would love to play as well, such as The Mars Volta song but, I don't feel like purchasing another game just to play a few songs I will barely play because of the problems I have mentioned.

Yeah, exactly. Rock Band does everything superior.

I don't like the multiple songs by the same artist. And they should have chosen a different song from NOFX. Linoleum would've been a much better choice.

Create-A-Song limit time! : D

3 minutes, 1200 notes per instrument, no vocals, no tempo changes, and no ability to cover real music.

FUN TIMES, AMMIRITE?

Also, apparently, the drums drop a ton of notes and the cymbals actually broke at PAX.

With no pricing details explicitly stated before, it wasn't surprising when a few people were confused and contacted us about Guitar Hero World Tour showing up as a $240 bundle on Red Octane's official site -- especially when the company doesn't seem to be offering a non-deluxe bundle. The special bundle adds to the normal instrument and game package: a t-shirt (Male XL only), battery charger, key chain and guitar case. The standard pricing for GHWT, direct from Activision:

* $190 for the full band kit on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
* $180 for the full band kit on PS2.
* $100 for the guitar/game bundle on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
* $90 for the guitar/game bundle on PS2.

Alright, I'm done. I quit. I quit. I quit. I quit. I quit. (Pay no mind to the South Park reference but yeah, I'm done with this.)

This is ridiculous. They're wayyy too greedy about this now. I'm gonna just get Rock Band now. >:(

the reason theyre doing this is because its become a succesful franchise and they think that most people will pay for the next one

because they think were stupid...

@**holes...

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3170893

and now for the stupidest Guitar Hero commerical I've seen.

Tony Hawk, Kobe Bryant, Alex Rodriguez, and Micheal Phelps guest star in this GH WT cameo..

Okay I've seen the light...Rock Band 2 is way better than this cheap knock off.

I'm sorry to Mastermario, Frodus, Stealth, and everyone else.

This Guitar Hero sucks so bad.

You have to PAY in order to play a special gig. I.E. TOOL songs gig...cost $8000 in career mode.

Why am I forced to play a gig that's suppose to pay ME?

Also when you're in the middle of a solo (Which is weird because it's a string of purple lines in order to let you know it's Solo Time..) the note counter disappears...

And in Multi-player, you can't barely see if you are failing or not.

Also, the commercialism in this game is ridiculous. KFC and Coca-Cola logos everywhere? I don't know about you guys, but selling out to the man, ain't exactly Rockin'.

To add more:

AT&T Logos I've seen. Since these songs are the original recordings, not cover songs. Many of the songs tend to drag on and on. So I honestly don't know why they couldn't keep it simple.

So far, 12 songs from Guitar Hero 2 are present, since they are easily used again and cheap I'm assuming.

Many cameos from real rock stars is interesting, like Haley Williams from Paramore, Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins, Ozzy Osbourne, and Ted Nugent even.

Honestly, a majority of these songs are already on Rock Band 2. Except anything by Korn or TOOL so far.

I've picked this up... my first guitar hero game XD, so far I just beat the 3 Tool songs on Expert... 5 starred the first two, but only got a 4 star on Vicarious =/.
