Yes, that's right. After selling 1.5 million units in just a month, and now, the guys over at Take Two are already talking about a sequel. All I can say is "WHYYYYYYYY???? :'("
Bioshock was (and still is for me, because I'm not done yet...) a truly phenomenal game. While having great, sometimes new gameplay elements (although many were borrowed from another Irrational Game, System Shock 2), the highlight of this game has clearly been the phenomenal storyline, with multiple endings. In creating a sequel, I feel the best part of Bioshock would have to be sacrificed. Firstly, a single ending would have to be chosen as canon, in order to ensure that the storyline makes sense. This basically takes away any meaning to the players choices in the first game, and that truly sucks. Secondly, I hear Bioshock wraps up well, and leaves few questions unanswered. To try to squeeze a sequel out of it just wouldn't work well, considering that.
I am truly happy Bioshock is selling so well, but I hope to god Take Two doesn't come out with a bunch of sequels, to just milk a great series for all its worth. Just let Irrational work on its own, new IP's. :-\
