More good old fashioned turn based RPG's! I think of a game like FFX where they combined modern audio/visuals with old school gameplay and it was just flat out awesome. I need more games like this.
I personally wouldn't mind some really good MGS clones. Ya know, tactical/stealth type games but with an awesome story and characters behind it.
More adventure games in the style of Zelda or Okami. These are my favorite games next to RPG's yet there doesn't seem to as many good ones as there should be.
Where's the platformers!? We have what, Mario and Ratchet n Clank?
Survival horror games! I am surprised that with the popularity of the RE and SH series there's not a massive selection of good survival horror games, but there just isn't, which I find kinda odd.
Too many friggen music games! Gaaaahhhh!
I am not huge about about the advanced technology in consoles these days. Maybe it's not so bad, but I seem to always hear something like "new update breaks this and this", "new update freezes this game or that game"...I guess I am old school but I just wanna turn on my console and play. I do updates and all a dat on my PC, don't want it on my consoles. Basically, consoles are becoming more and more like PC's which I am just not fond about. I loves my PC, but it's the simplicity of consoles that has always been a nice contrast. And for the love of god the last thing I want on my console is Facebook or Twitter...cripes.
One thing that annoys me is that my older dual shock controllers from the PS1 era are incredibly solid and beefy, yet the newer ones for the PS2 are light and cheap feeling. Lower the price if you're gonna cut corners.
I want KOTOR 3. Hmph
Not enough games with pre-rendered backgrounds. Seriously, I'd be all for games with the visual style of RE REmake and RE0. I have always loved that style and I miss it a lot. Think of what they did on the Cube, can you imagine what they could do with modern technology??
