Re: Resident Evil 5 General Discussion

There were 70 pick-ups at my GameStop. At least 100 showed up. The employees were decked out with face paint like zombies...n they set up the story all spooky n such. It was excellent presentation. They had RE Degeneration playing on the big screen, along with RE Umbrella Chronicles on the Wii and L4D on the 360 stand. :D

Gonna play through some coop with Hylian7 in a bit. :)

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Discussion

10th person in line to get it with the strategy guide, I had the money and it looked nice. Gunna play some coop later with a friend, maybe after I finally get some sleep.

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Discussion

Strubes and I just completed chapter 4-1. It's a fantastic game, and co-op came out so much better than I expected!

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Discussion

I played through Chapters 1-1 and 1-2. I'm on 2-1 as we speak. I gotta say, this game packs more action than any previous RE game. No holds bar and really keeps you on your toes!

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Discussion

It's pretty lonely on the 360 edition. Everyone is at different chapters.

Chapter 2-3 was fun. 3-1 is pretty insane with the new creatures.

I like in Chapter 1-2, it reminded me of something out of Resident Evil Zero.

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Discussion

Wow, this game is a ton of fun.

After playing the demo, I had some concerns about the controls being too slow and awkward for a game with a bunch of action in it. Now, having played the final product, I can definitely say its not really an issue at all. The game is intense, like, really really intense. So much so that there's no time to think about shoddy controls. They are still awkward and slow, but you'll never notice that as you're playing the game.

The graphics are incredible, to the point where they're almost too good. I'm not kidding when I say that. The first time I had to use the knife to fend off a "zombie," I actually recoiled in horror a tad. The person I was butchering looked like a real person, and I must admit it was not easy for me to hack this person to death. There really ought to be more signs to indicate that these people are zombies. Otherwise, shooting and slashing them feels... well, it feels a little too real.

Lol I agree to a point. It's an awesome game. But, I wouldn't say it looks too real. I just slaughter everything, so maybe that's why. :lol

I completely agree. For some reason I feel as though RE5 captured some of the essence of the past RE that RE4 couldn't do. Too bad that it's not completely in 1080p goodness...

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Discussion

I just wish this had a slight fear factor. When playing this, me n Hylian didn't know if we were playing Gears of War, Tomb Raider, or a Resident Evil.

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Discussion

It would have been better if I didn't know all the spoilers months before the game released. :lol

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Discussion

Great game (only took me 8:39 to beat, far shorter than what I had been led to believe, but still not bad).

Also, those people aren't zombies stealth. Zombies are only in one very brief scene later on in the game.

Really now? The 360 edition supports 1080p...
