Hi Members!

It is most certainly clear that most of you have been "Gamers" for a LONG time. Can anyone remember some of the awesome highlights that gaming has introduced into your lives?

For me,it was winning a small tournament(10-12 Contestants) that a local video rental place hosted to promote their business. One of the challenges was to see who can get the most points in "Super Mario Brothers 1"(nes)within the 20 minute time limit.Of course we all went for the big points you can score on the staircase at the end stage 3-1,I think,it's been so long since I played it,where you just repeatedly jump on the turtle for all the free men and the high score.

I managed to win,and won: A Pepsi Windbreaker(Like the good people that make Pepsi, care about some weenie tournament. All about the advertisement. :lol)
10 free movie rentals
And 1 voucher for "Brunch" at a pretty upscale Hotel/lounge.It didn't matter,I sold it to my mother for $10.Not a bad deal for her,the voucher was worth $20 or something.

God Bless,
Kaz

Here are some of my favorites:

3) Chillin' with some of my best buddies.

4) Doing Gaming Podcasts

5) Going to Digital Life

6) Meeting DJWHEAT and DJRome

7) Those L4D nights

8. Joining EGA

1) Phantasy Star Online
2) Going to the Nintendo Power Fest 1993 and winning a SUPER METROID poster and a hat.
3) joining EGA
4) Winning Pokemon Silver for free during the contest in 2000 from the Doritos corporation :D
5) Hosting a Guitar Hero 2 tournament. Man that was NUTS.
6) Hosting a Soul Calibur IV tournament.
7) Hosting a Soul Calibur II Tournament
8 ) 40 Man raid in World of Warcraft, what a freakin' rush.
9) BEATING HALO 3 on VID MASTER CHALLENGE WITH MASTERMARIO, SPARTAN, AND STRUBES!! FREAKIN A MAN! :D!! WOOOT!!
10) Playing TMNT The Arcade, Resident Evil 5, Gears of War, and Halo 3 with my bestest sister in the whole wide world, Mai Valentine ^_^
11) Playing Saturn Bomberman in 7 player mode during my 17th birthday, that was freakin' awesome.
12) Left 4 Dead sessions with countless friends of mine here from EGA.
13. Castle Crashers.
14. Playing Super Mario World for 2 days straight at age 11, with a truckload of Coca-Cola caffeine.
15. Playing Donkey Kong Country non-stop and finishing it on Christmas Eve of 1994.
16. Beating Secret of Mana for the very first time. Love that freakin' ending...
17. Beating Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link back in 1993. Yeah, I did it and I will still cuss out Shadow Link with affection lol
18. OH! How could I forget!? Getting to World 9-1 in Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels on Super Mario All-Stars! NO WARP ZONES! 8 LEVELS! Booyah!
19. Beating Super CastleVania 4 without cheating, but cussing out DEATH (Grim Reaper) like a madman :lol
20. The first time I finished Metroid II: Return of Samus. That was a freakin' ENDING! Yet Super Metroid was 20 times more epic.
21. Oh I will NEVER EVER forget this....the first time I finished the original Resident Evil during summer of 1996. I was playing the game on my friend's PlayStation at the time and he was too cheap to buy a memory card. So we had NO WAY to save the game! So I started a game at 9pm that night and I finished at 5 AM!! We watched in terror as the Tyrant chased me around the lab and I was freakin' OUT! So I pulled out the colt python and shot him quickly...phew...what a rush!! YET we were rewarded the Infinite ROCKET LAUNCHER, yet he was pissed because no memory card to save :lol

Amen!!!!

I can't really share what some have called my best moment of gaming... I'll just say it involved Starcraft.

I have had some great moments in Quake (Mega Team Fortress mod and deathmatch), Tekken, and Castlevania games as well...

Here was a nice Quake moment...

Quake41-1.jpg

I was ]DW[Betrayer at the time. And yes, I killed four enemy opponents in one second.

In no real order at all.
- Picking up my first game, which just so happened to be Sonic the Hedgehog.
- Playing Perfect Dark, James Bond: Goldeneye, and MarioKart with all my friends and cousins. (I will never, ever forget those times)
- Finding the editors in Starcraft and Warcraft 3.
- Beating the Halo series on Legendary.
- Beating Perfect Dark on Perfect Agent.
- Sticking with the Soul Blade-Calibre series, as well as the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors series.
- Playing through various Resident Evil and Tomb Raider games with my dad.
- having the chance to play a bunch of different systems from different generations.
- The many multiplayer and LAN matches I've been able to play.
- The online matches played on Counter Strike.
- Back in my early childhood days, when I could pick up a game and find that even after a few months, I may not have been able to finish the final level, and then being able to go back to them later in life and play them again to see just how far I'd come.

Can't think of anything else.

What a cool idea for a thread. Now I have to think about some highlights.

1. Marathon all nighters with Legend of Zelda, a bag of cheetos, dr. pepper and my cousin.

2. FINALLY getting the perfect ending for Final Fantasy X-2 and
seeing Yuna get back together with Tidus.
You have no idea how hard I fought for this! :)

3. Playing Duck Hunt on my very first console with my sisters. Yes they cheated.

4. Racing my tricked out black chocobo 'Mearas' on Gold Saucer in FFVII. "Eat my dust chickens!!!!"

5. My paper sister and I crying over the ending of Crisis Core.

Mine were chosen I guess not for the accomplishment but for the fun moment that came with it. I love gaming. :D

Now THAT is living on the edge. :D

Oh God..I just remembered one.

It was Griff, my friend Patrick, and me. We were all playing Madden (I don't remember what year it was) and on the opening kickoff, Griff says "LET'S ALL GET IN THE MIDDLE! THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!"....computer ran it around us for a touchdown. THANKS GRIFF! :lol

It doesn't seem like much, but it's the little funny moments like that, that make party gaming so worth it.
