What are your opinions on them.I personally am not too fond of them, but lets hear your opinions?
To get this thread going,I think the nunchuck/remote combo will be hard to get used to.
I think you will come to find this statement erroneous (not meant to sound cocky or aggressive) when the Wii becomes an experience in your personal life. Reading about this information does you no good, particularly if you desire to understand whether or not it will be "comfortable". You will find that the Wiimote and etc are extremely comfortable, but more importantly, intuitive to the utilization of such... When you lay your hands on Mario Galaxy, you'll understand a little clearer. It's just like magic, make no mistake. It's easy and very well done. I'm not being pompous! Try it!
Yes,it has great potential, but since when do things ever reach theirs?I would like for Nintendo to make a traditional controller, and give you an option to buy the nunchuck/remote combo for an extra payment,or just a traditional controller with purchase.I think it will more likely frustrate the players than reach it's potential. So once again, what are your thoughts?
Not only does Nintendo offer the classic controller as has been addressed here, but more importantly, Nintendo offers the utilization of the
Gamecube controller (perhaps with out-of-box Wavebird compatiblity, to boot. . ). Nintendo, however, will likely try to shy away from the usage of that controller for AT LEAST the launch window in order to show consumers and developers that the Wiimote is not merely some gimmick. However, as time passes, I believe you'll begin to notice an insurgence in the amount of games which utlize the old control scheme as it becomes a more accepted practice as the Wii itself becomes more accepted. Does this make sense?
To further prove my point, a game that isn't launching with the system - Super Smash Bros. Brawl - is going to utilize the Gamecube controller. For a long time the fears of my self and many others were that the game would be dumbed down for Wiimote utilization, since Nintendo is pushing it so hard. But my fears (and many others') were relieved to find that the game would use the GCN controller for more accurate gaming - as it should be. This shows that Nintendo isn't afraid to make compromise if the alternative IS a smarter solution. In other words, don't lack faith. The games will come and Nintendo will make the right choice.
Wait 'till you play it. I promise.
